Why doesnt eBay want us to know when we receive or send feedback for a purchase?
ebay continuously dumbs down the "My Ebay" sections of their website. Every so often they remove another piece of information we can use as buyers or sellers, to quickly see something of a purchase or sale.
The latest is it is now impossible to see under "My eBay" or "Purchases" if a seller has left you feedback or if you have left them feedback. This information has been removed from the purchase lists and even if you click on order information this is gone too.
I have spent 30min with an eBay agent on chat asking why this information is gone, and after 30min asking the same question and getting wildly evasive answers the agent disconnected chat while telling me to wait a few minutes to research the issue further.
Is eBay backing away from feedback all together? Why are they constantly trying to complicate simple things.

OP3 years agoStill no update on this? On and off this last month you could see or not see feedback. Now once again its off.

It's still there and has NEVER left. You need to 'scroll' to the right to see it.

"Ebay officially is saying feedback is no longer something they want us to be fully aware of from MY EBAY either in "Purchases" or under "Summary - Orders". We can leave it blindly, but not see if anyone left it back unless we go to feedback page and scroll through the names".
While I think ebay should have left the icons in, since many people like them. What did you do when you first joined and they were not there? Was it really such a hassle to check your own feedback profile to see if you had received feedback from a seller? Do you not leave feedback if a seller hasn't left you one first?

·3 years agoLook to the far right of your My eBay-> Selling-> All Orders under Engage Buyer.
There will be a black pencil icon if you left feedback.
I include the shipping date in my feedbacks as much for my own reference as to assure my buyers.
When a buyer leaves a feedback a green circle enclosing a cross appears.
I wish feedback were still dated and not just this month/last six months/past year/over a year ,which is not useful but hides not very private information.

I can still see the icons for paid/shipped/feedback left/feedback received if I use My Ebay Summary page to view my orders.

The disappearance of the icons might not have been done deliberately. eBay programmers are forever tampering with the code, and this might have been an unintended consequence. Unless eBay puts out an official word on the subject, such as an Announcement, we just won't know for certain.

OP3 years agoTwo months now and still isnt fixed. This indeed was done deliberately. So ebay has gotten rid of feedback. They no longer expect buyers or sellers to leave feedback.

Nothing is broken. Ebay decided to remove the icons from a buyers purchase history. You can still look at your feedback page to check feedback that has been left for you.
If you need to leave feedback for a seller you will see the blue Leave Feedback button on your purchase history page.

OP3 years agoEbay has removed the ability to easily see all your purchases on one page and see which ones you have received feedback and which you have left feedback. I have been dependent on that page for many many years to know which items I've received and have deemed the transaction complete by leaving positive feedback. I now cannot easily see this. This is a downgrade. This is a way to confuse buyers to not know what items they have received feedback on.
This means ebay no longer cares about buyers and sellers leaving feedback. They are desperately trying to turn their failing business into something like amazon where feedback is mainly used to report something bad.
