Why can I not leave negative feedback until 7 days later?
My item was delivered in an unacceptable condition and 7 extra days isn't going to change that fact. The only possible reason I can see for this is an attempt to get me to forget to leave my negative review.

·3 years agoAlthough every response here does help a lot, I still felt kind of trapped into leaving a "Positive" review for an item that was falsely advertised and this felt like an extremely underhanded way to insure the seller doesn't get the review they deserved. If it were an honest mistake (which it sounds like eBay is trying to account for with the 7 day thing) that I could understand but the listing for the item I purchased very clearly stated it had features that it did not in fact have in at least 2 separate places on the listing! I get wanting to resolve this with the seller first but in my case, the item was already miss-advertised from the start. Perhaps only restricting negative feedback would be better? Why is Neutral feedback restricted like this too? If you restrict only negative feedback for the first 7 days at least you still give the seller a chance to resolve the issue without (I assume) impacting their ratings too much.
Admittedly, I wish I had looked more closely at the other reviews for this item too because they look really suspicious at a second glance!
