Where is my item Ebay?
Ebay .. I have exposed a scammer who stole my item that I sent to be repaired, he used the Ebay print out label with my name and address on a parcel of lip balm?? Why would someone else just randomly select me and send me something I didnt order?? Please contact me as this IS THEFT

·2 years agoI didn't know of "repair shops" on eBay...where you can return something to be repaired or fix that you purchased.
You return it and get a refund.
If at first it doesn't work or fit...return it to fit or work...and if it still doesn't work or fit return it again?

OP2 years agoI never received my item that I sent which was a jukebox part, instead I received a bag of lip balm so Ebay refunded me for the money I paid to have it fixed and the fixer has kept my part?? Why is Ebay still letting him operate on their site when he is clearly a thief!

·2 years agoEbay has allowed the sale of services for many years. Services are expressly excluded from the Money Back Guarantee. Over the years we've heard many tales of woe where buying a service online has gone south.

·2 years agoUnfortunately if you purchased a service eBay can do nothing. Services aren't covered by eBay's Money Back Guarantee. Even if they were, the most eBay can do would be refund the amount you paid for the service. They have no enforcement unit that can visit the seller and seize your part. Sadly this is a risk of sending an item for service on a different continent.

First of all, the community members who reply to these topics are not ebay employees but for the most part are very experienced members who know what you have to do to get ebay to act when there are issues not covered specifically by ebay policies.
However, you have posted your concern on eBay's U.S. based site's community (ebay.com) since you are located in Australia, how you proceed may be different than the steps we have to take. Login to your home site www.ebay.com.au and post about your issue on its community.

OP2 years agoThank you but I sent a jukebox part to be fixed and sent back but I didnt receive my jukebox part back, instead I was sent a parcel of lip balm and it definitely came from the jukebox repair guy because it had my address from a print out off Ebay, he says thats not what he sent me but who would just randomly pick me to send the parcel of lip balm too from America?? He is a dodgy theif and Ebay need to track him down and get my part back

·2 years ago@08mad_max There are OVER 100,000,000 members on ebay doing OVER 1,000,000 transactions a day.
So, is ebay supposed to hire 1,000,000 "someone's" to go to people's houses and/or business addresses and take what you say is yours?

OP2 years agoIf you sent your car out to be detailed with the money for the detailing and your car went missing so you received your detailing fee back, would you be happy with this?? I think not, you place your trust in Ebay to block these scammers not just let them continue to do business on THEIR site?

·2 years agoEbay is like a newspaper. You placed an ad on that paper. The Paper, itself, is NOT liable for Anything. They don't 'allow' them to do business- but scammers are ALL OVER the place and they can only STOP them when there is
a.) enough evidence
b.) enough reports
Till then- they, again- are NOT going to 'hire people' to go 'find your stuff' as you so desired.
