When you are Ripped off on eBay and seller disappears
is there anything i can do to get help when your ripped off here on eBay? i purchased a motorcycle helmet - its a fake, cheap China knock off. This is not an ARAI helmet. the seller does not want to refund the transaction. seller also stated in sale they are for Japan... its form China... i tried the normal dispute route but cannot complete as seller was removed for a violation? i have screen shots but cannot upload these here for some reason i get this error Uploading 2025-02-12_07-38-30.jpg resulted in the following error: Permission Denied
i put out $300 + for this and would like to get help on this as its not right....

·1 year ago@pauly600 you have 30 days from the delivery date to file a return case.
Go to your eBay Purchase History and open a return case.
Find the item in your Purchase History and press the big, blue 'Return this item' button. Select "Item is Not as Described" as the reason for the return.
If it requires you to upload a photo to the return case you will need to do that.
Seller will be required to provide a prepaid shipping label IF they want the item back before refunding. Send the item back with the prepaid return label.
When the return tracking shows delivered back to the seller, the seller will have 2 days to inspect and refund your purchase. If that does not happen, on day 3 there will be an "Ask eBay to Step In", option for you to click on. EBay will refund your money.
If seller does not send a return label within 3 days and the "Ask eBay To Step In" option is not available, you will have to contact eBay. Contact eBay thru Facebook. https://www.facebook.com/eBay
Using the instant messaging and explain that the seller has not provided a return label.
Under NO circumstances do you close the return before getting your refund, REGARDLESS of what the seller might tell you.
Come back here with any or all questions you might have throughout this process.

If you opened a return, what was the exact reason you selected for the return?
If you selected a remorse type return reason, the seller probably denied the return and closed the return.
If you happened to have closed the return yourself, you cannot open a 2nd return for the same transaction.
You will then have open a dispute with your credit card issuer or PayPal if you paid that way.

OP1 year agosorry tried this, the photo on my purchase is a gray block now, " this item was removed for violations" is message. when i initially purchased this item it stated free returns.. but there was no return label. only DHL sticker on it and that's overseas shipped ( i know this form BMW parts from Germany)
the Ebay conventional way to return is a dead end and cannot be completed.
this is why im looking to speak with a representative from eBay, ill prob never get help but want others to know about this seller

Open a dispute with your credit card issuer or PayPal if you paid that way.
