What should I do? Seller refuses to complete transaction.
Monday the 21st seller lists items for sale. Items were to be picked up locally. "Buy It Now" was an option and the price was acceptable so I bought & paid for the auction items. I wait a day for contact from the seller for the address to complete the sale. No response. Next day I sent a friendly "Hi, please send me info on how to pick up items" email. No response. Another day goes by without any response from the seller. I sent another friendly request for info on how to the complete sale. No response. It's now the 26th and I still haven't heard anything from the seller. I believe they are reneging on the auction and will not honor the transaction. Do I have any legal standing in this matter? It's NOT a car or property or any other "Non binding" auction. TIA

Feedback is not a communication tool, you have negged this seller for no good reason.
Thanks for posting

·2 years agoFollowup: If you haven't received a refund, do as I recommended above.
However, after seeing the seller's (or rather, the seller's son's) response to the feedback you left, there appears to be a valid reason for the lack of response from the seller.

·2 years agoJust file the item not received case and ask ebay to step in after 3 days if the seller does not respond or you don't have your item.

·2 years agoIn the future, you should start your own thread on your issue.
This is another case in which the seller's reply to feedback explains the reason for your complaint.
It also says that they issued you a full refund and it's likely that they got frustrated and chose not to do business with you. Sellers can block any buyer for any reason or for no reason if they don't want to sell to you.

Have you contacted ebay to obtain the seller's address ?
I would send by certified mail, a written request, a notice & demand to arrange with you a pick up of the items won
Good luck

·2 years agoDid you pay on the app? You should be able to set up the pickup on the app.
Don't give the seller the QR code or the six digit number eBay mailed you if you don't get the item. The code proves delivery. You should be able to file a not received case and get a refund no problem.
Google eBay Offering Local Pickup
Or you can type it in the Help & Contact search bar. The Offering Local Pikup policy explains everything.

·2 years agoAre you certain that the seller's address was near enough that you would actually be able to pick up the items? Not sure how you would know that if you are now inquiring about an address.
Was there an estimated delivery date in the listing and has it passed?

OP2 years agoThis was listed as a local pick up only because it was a rather large lot of items. I know what city they are in from the listing and it's only 45mins away. I won the auction and paid but they haven't responded to any of my several messages. I believe they received a better off of ebay and they are blowing me off.

·2 years agoOpen an INR claim. If the seller doesn't voluntarily issue a refund, you can ask ebay to step in after 3 days pass.

My guess, you are probably protected as far as getting your money back if you can't get the items. Beyond that, (?) I have no idea what mechanism would be in play, I am all ears.
