What is going on the last few months at Ebay customer service
I just am wondering- when did it become a regular occurance for negative feedback to be easily removed just by basically begging? I also had another question- when did everything become "confidential?" I used to be able to ask why my feedback was removed. Now it's it was either for "courtesy" or it's "confidential?" I was even warned today by a supervisor my account would be removed if I asked anything about why my feedback was remooved. I have asked twice in 18 years and by the way I am a "concierge" buyer. Apparently there's both a buyer and seller program, and the sellers can easily have negative feedback removed for a "courtesy." You can also cancel a order five days later for a made up reason and have the negative feedback removed? What? Free loans on Ebay these days it seems.. And I get threatened for asking by some crazy supervisor lady- then everything becomes "confidential" after that. It's really hard to hire good people these days at the wages Ebay pays I can only assume.. 18 years- no negative feedback left by me- seriously- it's all been removed for no reason at all. I am not making this up.. pharaoh3000

Without knowing the exact wording of the feedback comment, and the reason for the negative, we cannot really answer your question.
"I was even warned today by a supervisor my account would be removed if I asked anything about why my feedback was remooved".
If the "supervisor" was a call center person, I would not worry about the threat. The call center personal are not ebay employees, they work for the call center and do not have the ability to close someone's account. Unfortunately, over the years it has become common when people to ask call center reps for info they cannot provide, to be told anything by a rep/supervisor to get them off the phone.
FYI, the Concierge system was closed down in 2021 without any explanation.
"You can also cancel a order five days later for a made up reason and have the negative feedback removed".
One of the reasons a negative feedback can be removed is if a refund is issued before a negative feedback is left. The seller is deemed to have handled the issue properly if they fully refund a buyer, and the transaction becomes unpaid, without affecting the buyer. What you can do in those situations is to report the seller for using an invalid reason for a cancellation. However, if the seller notified you they were out of stock and asked if you wanted a refund, or to wait until they restocked the item and you refused the wait option, that can be seen as you requesting cancellation.
Use the link below to contact ebay. On the first page use the blue Report seller button.
Next page select seller has violated an ebay policy > Continue
Next Pg. enter the seller's username, select Other, then in the text box write.
The seller used an invalid reason stating I requested cancelling the transaction. Check my messages I did not request canceling the transaction.

OP3 years agoThanks. Theym concierge program is definitely ongoing for both sellers and buyers. I have multiple transcripts just from yesterday were multiple supervisors now admit for the last few years they have been making "courtesy" removals of negative feedback left for them. I freaked out - it's their number one rule. No feedback shall be removed if left within guidelines. I shall post some of the the transcripts here in on moment

·3 years agoThank you for the link, mudshark. I've been trying to buy a ceiling light for the last 3 weeks, and of my last 2 attempts, both have been unsuccessful because the seller didn't want to ship to me (no shipping restrictions on the item page). It's getting old, and I'm going to start reporting made up seller excuses for nonperformance.

·3 years agoDepends what you said in the fb, did you mention a case? Ive been here twenty three tears, and as far as I know, Ebay has never revealed the reason a feedback was removed.
