What happens if buyer refuses to pay Duty/Tax Assesed by DHL
I sold via eBay international shipping and shipped it to IL where it was inspected and shipped to buyer.
The tracking says Duty/Tax Assessed by DHL and to check email for payment but status hasn’t changed for whole week now.
If buyer ultimately doesn’t pay what happens? Does eBay return ship the item back to me? Also is eBay going to reimburse me for shipping label or is it up to me to refund and take that portion out?
Thanks.

·1 year agoThis is why the international shipping program (EIS to hub) is a great program, and everyone should consider using it if available to them. IMHO Once it arrives to the hub, you are done and will not have to worry about returns/refunds. Take advantage of the program while it still offers this great benefit.

·1 year agoIf you shipped it EIS, as long as it made it to the US hub, you're done with the transaction.
What happens after, it's on Ebay.

If they refuse to pick up the package for fees/duty, they lose their MBG.

If you eventually get the item back, you can refund them minus any shipping fees.
Buyer will not win a case against you for item not received.
