    Weary Buyer on Carousel of Ebay

    Summary: cocoapuff50 expressed frustration about a delayed order of artificial flowers from a seller whose store is now inactive. Despite multiple promised delivery dates, the flowers have not arrived, and a refund request was denied by eBay. shire123 explained that sellers must agree to cancellations and advised waiting for a refund or considering a chargeback. soh.maryl and mudshark61369 outlined the procedures for filing a dispute and emphasized understanding eBay's refund policies. bonanza125 noted that most transactions are smooth, but occasionally issues arise, requiring patience. cocoapuff50 defended their long-standing positive experience on the platform and their unfamiliarity with such complications.

    Bought artificial flowers On June 26th and to this date of July 16 th have not received them . What I did get was three unavailable dates , first was till July 8 th , second was till July 13th and now third is until July 22 nd and so I canceled in between those dates with no response from seller , no flowers , and a denial from Ebay saying I waited too long , ugh ! Must wait till past July 22 nd and try for a full refund . What kind of nonsense is this ? Also seller store is closed or inactive I do not know which !!! I know this , my case is being handled so bad and taking way too long . I suppose some day I will get a full refund it just amazes me of all the hoops I have to jump through for this . Why ?????

    What "hoops"? And, have to ask, why does an eBayer with 1275 FB not know how to use the MBG?

    This buyer since 2004 has not ever encountered this situation before . Never had to look up the policies and and no seller has ever given me such grief . So before casting dispersions know that you do not always know what you think you know !

    This is just how the process is. Majority of the transaction made go smoothly. Unfortunately you ran into a seller who didn't follow through so now you are having to wait for a refund. Yes it can take time to get a refund but you will get your refund. There is technically no hoops to jump through. Ebay operates through a system and all you do is file a case and wait for the seller to respond. It's the same for seller when it comes to return. Expected to ship next business day but if buyer wants to return an item they are given weeks to do so. It's just the way it is.

    @cocoapuff50 ,

    In the order details for the item there should be an expected delivery date. If you opened the actual listing, it will show the estimated delivery date for the day you look at it. Which is why you have seen 3 different dates. You only have 30 days from the last estimated delivery date that should show in the order details, to file an item not received (INR) dispute. read the terms of ebay's Money Back Guarantee

    Buyers can't unilaterally cancel orders. The seller must agree. As the seller appears to no longer be active you will probably just have to wait it out. If ebay does not come through with the refund you can always do a charge back with your payment source.

    Seller was steadily making dates when they were unavailable and I the buyer did the cancelation , with no response from seller to this day ! There was no communication from seller at all and I needed those flowers to make a arrangement for a special occasion , so I had to purchase another set from a totally different store to fulfill my obligation . and they kept moving their date of return as I was asking for a full refund and Ebay denied my request ! I did this in a decent amount of time . Going by the rules . Seller never communicated was given by Ebay their correct amt of time to respond , I still wait to this day . These actions all total are horrible . Not on my part , I paid in full up front . I do not have the product nor do I have the money refunded as of yet .

    Just reinforcing what others have told you.

    1. If your item is not received by its EDD, you can open an INR case the day after. Have you read the MBG.

    2. A buyer cannot unilaterally cancel. He has to ask the seller to do so and it has to be before the item is shipped.

    3. Can't tell if you opened a case, but, if you did, did you return to the case on day #4 and ask eBay to step in.

    As soon as I ordered my flowers the dates of being unavailable began and so I waited , then the second date showed up , I had to cancel due to my obligation . Tried my best to contact seller , no response . tried to open a case , told to wait on seller and I did , still no response , did all I could giving seller benefit of the doubt . one way communication . Others have a lot to say not knowing the whole story both ways . Needless to say this has ended . My refund is on its way . The item always was in the position of (waiting to ship ) according to each and every time I checked on its tracking . Thank you for listening ......
