waiting for invoice
I found three items (paper ephemera) that are nearly identical in weight/shape from the same seller with the following statement on each listing: "Please request an invoice for combined shipping on multiple orders." I placed items in my cart. I could not find the button to request invoice so I messaged seller asking how do I combine shipping? I asked because last time I purchased multiple paper ephemera items from another seller, it automatically updated and combined the shipping cost and I paid right then. I received an immediate answer from seller that said "request an invoice". Went back to my cart where I had this sellers 3 items and one item from another. Paid for the other item which cleared it from the cart and then the request combined shipping invoice popped up which I applied. Then my cart changed to "committed to buy". Ebay has sent me messages to pay for items I have "committed to buy" but the seller while quick to respond initially has yet to send an invoice. Then in trying to figure out what is going on I read if you don't pay for items you have "committed to buy" in a certain time frame the seller can ding you with a no payment except I'm READY to pay and don't have the correct info. This is exasperating.

If your seller did not set up their combined shipping properly, you may have to pay the full shipping amount and the seller will refund the difference for the combined shipping.

If each listing you bought from said for example: Buy one pay $5 shipping each additional add $1.00 That discount would only apply to each specific item, even if they all had the same discount and are the same size and weight. If you buy from 3 separate listings you would pay $5.00 shipping for each.
Again, the seller can apply the rule after you pay $15, and refund the difference.
