I think we might be missing part of the story.I kinda see the price and don't know if this was an authentication item or not....which some are done in Vegas.I am thinking it is a trading card? Which item is returned to Vegas then to the seller. Just a thought.So maybe it was something the seller actually couldn't do..."hands are tied".
