USPS asking for $128 more for delivery!
I recently purchased Christmas decorations for $250 with an additional $55 for shipping. USPS tried delivering the box today but it’s requiring an additional $128. I have never seen this before. What can I do?

·2 years agoTake a photo of the postage due notice from USPS @romulusou1 . Send the photo to the seller in an eBay message and ask them to send you the $ owed for postage due.
If the seller does not a) sort out any potential error by calling your PO or b) sending you the $ for postage due, then you can refuse the package. If the seller wants the package back, USPS will make them pay postage due before delivering to them.
Refusal for postage due is covered under eBay's Money Back Guarantee (MBG). You can file a non-receipt claim, although you may have to involve CS to get a refund because the system is generally run by bots that may close the claim in the seller's favor since refusing delivery for situations other than postage due voids MBG coverage. If it gets to the point where you need to file a claim or ask CS for help, please come back and we can provide links and walk you through the process.

·2 years agoApparently the seller seriously underpaid the postage, probably by not paying for the "dimensional weight" of a large package.
You can ask the seller to send you the funds to pay for this postage due, or you can refuse the package, and then file a claim for 'Item not received" and get a full refund. If you do this, be sure to get proof that there was postage due so your refusal is recognized as a valid reason by eBay's claim system.
Do not just pay the $128 and ask the seller to reimburse you, because they might not and you'll be stuck.

·2 years agoYou can contact the seller and let them know.
The seller can contact your PO OR you can send a photo of the request for extra postage.
You should get a photo of that anyway.
The seller should either pay it OR send you money to pay for it.
