Used eBay Coupon with a Purchase and Seller Refunded the Cash Amount
I made a purchase on 12/31 using a $15 eBay coupon on a $125 purchase. The seller shipped it to the wrong address and said it was not recoverable. They refunded me the $110, but now I can't use the coupon again. I tried eBay's chatbot and it said the $15 coupon would be visible in my account but I don't see anything. I tried to use the same coupon code on another purchase and it said it expired.
No luck on the phone, either. It was AI and referred me back to the chatbot.

Almost all coupons are "one and done" and can't be used again.
Any active coupons would be in your Summary https://www.ebay.com/mye/myebay/summary
You can certainly ask eBay CS if they will replace that one - no guarantees.
Open this Help page on Coupons
At the bottom Click on "Contact us"
In the Help Chatbox that opens, to bypass the bots, type AGENT then press the Send arrow
Keep typing "AGENT" to any bot questions.
For the box asking "Yes"/"Something else" click on "Yes"
You should see the options to Chat live with an agent, or have them call you.
Note: The Call Back option doesn't always work if your carrier blocks spam/telemarketing calls.
With the Chat option eBay will automatically email you a transcript.

OP9 months agoThank you! I followed your steps and got a chat with an Agent. After providing the expired coupon number they issued a new coupon code to me.
Appreciate the help!

That's good to hear - thanks for the update!

·9 months agoI don’t think the seller even sees the coupon. Most likely it was eBay that took the $15 back.
