"unisex" shoe ads causing confusion over sizing
Shoe ads are getting really confusing because of this "unisex" trend.
Sellers listing shoes with sizes like "9.5M10W" make the ads hard to read and often are incorrect as US shoe sizes are TWO full sizes apart between the sexes. The M and W are easily mistaken for widths (Medium or Wide, Men or Women, which one is it?) Using an exact size search is no help as the sellers spam the listings in both categories to try to double the potential customers reached.
I have nearly gotten stuck with shoes two sizes too small but caught the problem just in time as I double checked the true sizes in the photos. Many of the warehouse sellers do not even let the buyer do that as they use one stock pic of the shoe with no box or tag shown. Then you have to message them just to try to get a straight answer out of them. I should not have to go through all that just to figure out whether shoes you listed as Men's 10 are really Men's 8.
Are there really these many women out there wearing men's shoes all of a sudden? And if there are...do they really have feet that huge? An average sized woman with a Men's 10+ shoe size would have to have feet the size of skis.
Do you shoe sellers really think this approach is going to double your sales?

·3 years agoI often wear men’s sneakers because the color schemes aren’t as “Sporty Barbie†and I suspect I’m not the only one.

·3 years agoDon't insult women for their shoe size. I do not wear shoes the size of skis, but I do wear a woman's size 10 ww shoe. Maybe you don't understand how hard it is for women like me to find big enough shoes.....I've been struggling all my life starting when playing dress-up at 10 years old to find woman's dress shoes that fit....
