Unable to edit "Pay When" on auctions
I've been unable to request an invoice from sellers who offer combined shipping/7 day invoices. I contacted eBay who told me to contact the seller. I contacted the seller who specified I needed 5 or more feedback before I could request a 7 day invoice and that until then I'd be locked to the 1-hour pay window after winning an auction. I got my feedback up to 10, but payment still defaults to an hour. I contacted the seller who said they were uncertain and to contact eBay. eBay continues to tell me to contact the seller and that I'm being locked out by the seller's preferences. Is there some other hidden new account restriction that I'm unaware of? Can I only request this 7 day invoice after I win an auction and not prior? Any advice would be super useful.

Your seller must be as inexperienced as you are to tell you that you need 5 feedback before you can use Pay in 7. A seller needs to do more than just say they will combine shipping in order for a buyer can use pay in 7. There is nothing you can do now, except to ask the seller if they will refund the difference in shipping cost. However, ebay has made a mess of the way they rolled out Pay in 7. They did not create a policy and their two A.I. explanations conflict with one another. To see what I mean copy the two searches into a Google search. Look for the A.I. responses
1) " How does a buyer sign up to use Pay in 7, ebay " look under Seller Configuration
2) " How do I allow Pay in 7, for my ebay auctions " Do Not use Immediate payment required
Since you have started to sell on ebay, you may not know that you have been opted into Auto Pay. So buyers who would like to get combined shipping for more than one item they may want to make offers on cannot do that Look in your selling account info for Buyer Management - Setting buyer requirements. Block settings; You will see under the standard settings under them is Buyer Rules

The Buyer rules which are checked enable auto pay, (they win an auction, or have an offer accepted and their payment is made automatically, and will not allow you to send a combined shipping invoice.

OP4 months agoApologies if it was unclear. This seller offers combined shipping if you win multiple auctions and in order to do that you must opt into the 7 day invoices. Is this only available after an auction is won?

Im assuming that it is the seller who has put the "5 or more FB" on this pay in 7 days, because it is not an eBay requirement.
I would honestly find another seller.

OP4 months agoRight, I think this is where I'm getting confused. If I go to place a bid my payment info states that it will pay within hour of winning auction, but based on the seller's feedback I should set this window to 7 day invoice to gain combined shipping (assuming I will be bidding on and winning other items). I have yet to find where this is editable before placing a bid. If it's only available after winning an auction, that would make sense.
