Unable to change currency displayed to USD
Summary: mrsirpantsalot expressed frustration at not being able to change the currency to USD on eBay, despite being able to change language settings and ship to Yemen. They described this limitation as a "disgusting choice" by the platform.
I live in the US and I want all prices listed in USD when I search, but for some reason, ebay thinks I'm in Mexico—and no, I'm not using a VPN. I can uncheck the box that says "display in MXN Pesos" and the main price will show up in USD, but shipping costs etc. still appear in pesos. I don't see anywhere where I can choose the currency I want to use, only unchecking the Mexican currency box, which half-solves the problem, but does not fix it. This seems like a huge oversight on ebay's part and makes me not want to use the platform. I have even set up a brand new account from scratch, ensuring all my addresses and settings are US, and still it does this, HELP!

·2 weeks agoi can ship to Yemen and i can update my language to Farsi but I cant use Dollars to buy something? What a disgusting choice Ebay...!

·2 weeks agoFirst, eBay's not here. This is a member-to-member forum. And it's completely unnecessary to bump a 7-month-old thread to make the same point you made in the thread you started. We saw it the first time, and again, not eBay.
