Two different ebay user i.d.s, same email address.
Hello.
I have two different user ids somehow, and they both use my same email address. This is a problem because logging in takes me to the older user id, and I need help with an order that's linked to the newer i.d.
Does anyone know how I can get rid of the older i.d. and make the new one work? Chat was not helpful.

·3 years agoChange the email address on the older user ID, which you get to when you log in, @had-kha-o6okkpt.
Once the older user ID is connected to another email address, you should be able to get to the newer ID with the "shared" email address, since it now only belongs to the newer ID.

OP3 years agoThank you for your reply. I was eventually able to connect with ebay by phone, and they solved the problem.

I see the account you've posted with was registered in November of 2016. When was the second account opened or registered?

OP3 years agoThank you for your reply. Second account was recent and is what threw everything off. I was eventually able to connect with ebay by phone, and they solved the problem.

·3 years agoI'm stumped, as I thought each ID had to have separate email address. Can you go to the Account Settings/Personal Info/Personal Information and 'Edit' your 'User name' or 'Contact info' there? 🤔
