Two counter offers at once?

Question

What is the courtesy/ policy in countering multiple offers at once? I am a new seller and did this without thinking about the trouble it might cause me and the buyer.

Relax, if one buyer accepts the offer, it's sold. The other buyer struck out. If someone comes in and buys it and the 2 that made offers complain, you let them it was THEIR fault that they did not buy it immediately before someone could come in and get it.

You are in an even bigger pickle than you might think.

While the 2 counteroffers are being assessed by those that they were sent to someone else could come in and purchase the item.

Then you have 2 potential buyers that will be miffed if they wanted to buy it, and lose out ðŸ˜

Had a post about that not that long ago where a counteroffer was being thought about, and that dirty rotten seller sold it to someone else ðŸ¤£

Potential buyer felt that the pending offer should lock that item up for 2 days while they looked around and thought it over.

By the way, you did just fine by sending the offer to both.

As a buyer, if you messaged me saying others were interested, I would just think that was attempted sales pressure.

If the listing is for one item, then as soon as any offer or counteroffer is accepted, the item is Sold and any other active offers or counteroffers expire immediately.
