OP2 years agocan you guys show me where I can find the description on the monitors so I can further investigate if it is a scam or not

·2 years agoSeriously? You scroll down in the listings to where it says "Item Specifics" and "Item description from seller".
If you're unable to grasp the simplest aspects of buying on eBay you really, really need to buy this item in person, where you can inspect it before you buy. Because no one here is going to guide you through all the steps of buying here.

·2 years agoAs it’s been said before, we cannot perform searches and shop for you. You need to create a search containing the criteria you want for your items and carefully read item descriptions and seller feedback.
Maybe a friend or family member can help you narrow your search.

·2 years agoYou still seem to be under the mistaken impression that this forum exists to do your shopping for you. It doesn't. If you can't find what you're looking for we can't magically make it appear. You need to set up a saved search. I gave you instructions on how to do that in a previous post. Sometimes if you're looking for a bargain you have to accept that it will take you longer to find the item at the price you're willing to pay.

·2 years agoI’m all about eBay sellers getting more sales but I’ll make an exception in this case and say maybe you should visit a Best Buy…
korod40
OP2 years agoIt would be more expensive on best buy
gone.c-33
·2 years agoMaybe, but you’ll have someone helping finding something suited for your needs. We can’t search eBay for you and tell you what to purchase.
It will also come with a warranty, which you can’t get from a third party seller on eBay and you won’t risk setting your game room on fire by Jerry rigging monitors made for European voltage with after market dc adapters.

·2 years agoThe questions about voltage and plugs are things you need to ask the seller. In the seller information box at the top of the listing there's a Contact seller link. Since none of us has physically seen the monitors all we can provide is conjecture. Beyond that, this is a forum for eBay procedural issues. You'll be much better served by going to an online gaming forum to get recommendations for your setup.

YOU CAN'T CHANGE THE VOLTAGE
Buy your monitors in the USA so that you get ones that are designed to be used in the USA.

·2 years agoMany monitors operate on DC power, instead of taking AC power into its back, to avoid heat in your face from the power supply inside the monitor, and so that the monitor is built slimmer and lighter. Here's a label on the back of a monitor:
Then the AC power, any voltage in the world from e.g. 110 volts to 240 volts, goes into an external power adapter brick:
then the DC power plugs into the monitor.
So if the Cerberus comes with power adapter bricks, you can freely power it from any voltage in the world. And the graphics adapters are standard -- monochrome, CGA, Hercules, DVI, component, DP, etc. -- so that'll work anywhere in the world, too.
korod40

·2 years agoThe listing you've linked to states very clearly that it will ship to the US. Shipping to the US will be approx. $125. And you will have to convert your payment to GBP, because that's how the seller has chosen to be paid. So if you buy this you'll pay a total of GPB 257.11, plus your state's sales tax. The amount of USD that converts to will depend on the conversion rate at the time the payment processes and what additional fees your payment processor charges.
We can't magically find what you're looking for. We're not an eBay shopping service. If you can't find what you're looking for you need to set up a saved search. Search for the item using the search bar or advanced search. When you get the results click the heart icon at the top to save the search and get emails when new items are listed.
I do recommend if you decide to make this purchase from another country you first check with the seller to make sure its compatible with US voltage.
korod40
OP2 years agowell. how does it get shipped to the USA if it does let me get it shipped. Also, how would i change the voltage on it with the outlet i have
lacemaker3
·2 years agoThe seller in the UK would ship it to you.
BUT -- You can't change the voltage on the monitors. They won't work with the 120 volts in the USA electrical power grid. UK monitors would need twice that much voltage. So it would be a waste of time and money to buy triple monitors that come from the UK. Believe me. They won't work in the USA.
Here is a link to a search for "triple monitor" for listings that are located in North America, only.
https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_nkw=triple+monitor&_sacat=80053&rt=nc&LH_PrefLoc=3
Most of those are for laptops, so you only get 2 extra monitors, to go on either side of your laptop monitor. If that's not what you want, then you will have to wait until a seller in the USA lists what you want.
Or, you can buy a triple monitor stand, and get 3 monitors to mount onto the stand. Here are some stands:

·2 years ago@korod40,
If you are using the app, and were directed to the U.K. site possibly by opening a listing from a U.K. seller and then searching through their other items. Each time you open the app after that the address bar will show ( http.... ebay.co.uk) To get back to the U.S. site which you are on now, to search for what you want. Go to the upper right corner of this page where you see the avatar circle that is to the left of your username above. Click on it and select My ebay from the drop down list. If you are redirected to the U.K. site, use your device's browser to login to ebay.com manually with your username and password.
Once you are on that page, use the Search for anything box, enter Triple Screen computer monitor in the search box. Then select Computer/tablets & networking from the drop down list as the category. Then click on the search button.
On the page that opens there will be additional search filters in the left hand column you can use to get more relevant results. You may want to select Laptop & desktop accessories, or pick a Mfr. or screen size. Each new page will give you more filters to refine your search. look at the partial screen shot of the filters below.

Here the link for the monitor, i did all of your instuctions and went all the way down looking for my monitors and found it, but still say GBP. also, where is the avatar circle, i can't find it on ebay

·2 years agoIf you're seeing the listing on ebay.co.uk you're on the UK site. If the listing states they don't ship to the US there's no way you can get around that. You need to go to www.ebay.com to access the US site. At the top of the home page there's a search bar. Use that to search for listings of the item you're looking for.

OP2 years agohow do I get on USA eBay so I can buy my triple-headed monitors so I can buy them in the USA and have them shipped to my house? but will I have to pay less for the shipping and can I find a buyer in the USA so I can buy the product?List the link for the USA eBay so I can search my triple-headed monitors and show me the steps if you find out if i can find any other triple-headed monitors anywhere else.

OP2 years agoSo can I technically buy my product price that shows GBP and it will instantly convert my USD to GBP, but why can't it transfer my product to the USA in PA
kathiec
·2 years agoI'm not sure what you mean by "transfer my product to the US in PA". But the seller lives in the UK, so they want to be paid in their home currency. You will be bidding in GBP, so you'll need to do a conversion to figure out what the USD amount you want to bid is in GBP. If you win, your payment processor will take whatever amount of USD is necessary to cover your GBP bid at the current conversion rate, plus whatever conversion fees they charge. The only way around that is to find the item from a US seller.
korod40
OP2 years agobut, how does it get shipped here if it wont let me get it shipped here
kathiec
·2 years agoWhen international sellers list on ebay.com they have the option of listing and being paid in their currency. What you see below the GBP amount is the approximate USD conversion. If you purchase, your USD payment will be converted into GBP to pay the seller. So the final USD amount you pay will depend on the exchange rate tables used by your payment source at the minute the payment is processed. It also may have conversion fees added by your payment source. So it's not going to be exactly what's shown in the listing.
korod40
OP2 years agoso if i buy a product like the triple monitor that has GBP. it will convert my USD to GBP in a different country

house*of*paws
·2 years agoHi @korod40
If you are looking at foreign listings on the eBay US site … you should be seeing the price in US dollars underneath the price in foreign currency.
korod40
OP2 years agoI am seeing it in both GBP and USD, but if i buy ( which i haven yet but wanted to see how much it costs) is shows in GBP. not USD
Unavailable member
·2 years agoIf you say you see the USD price as well as GSP, then price you see in USD IS the price you'll pay. You should also see shipping in USD as well.
korod40
OP2 years agowell. the main thing it shows is GBP and underneath the tiny label shows the price in US dollars. but if i order it, it either shows the shipping price, and product, and total cost in pounds or it says it doesn't ship it to the US Pd
lacemaker3
·2 years ago@korod40,
If the item was priced in GBP, that means that the item was listed on eBay UK, and is probably located in the UK. If you want to buy it, you have to pay for it in the currency it was listed in, GBP. The price shown in USA $ is only approximate and is for your convenience only. You would have to pay more for the shipping because it is coming from another country, and you will also have to pay a bit more than the estimate because of conversion costs.
Also, it would have been made to be used in the UK. The UK electrical system uses 240 volts, while the electrical system in the USA uses 120 volts. Most electrical devices can only be used with one voltage or the other. Even if you use an adapter so you can physically plug a UK device into a USA socket, it won't work because it's only getting half as much voltage as it needs.
Sometimes, portable devices like hair dryers have a switch to change the input voltage so you can use an adapter, but I haven't seen this with computer monitors, or most other non-portable devices.
You should be looking for computer monitors that are being sold on eBay USA, in USA $, so you can expect to get products that were designed to be used in the USA.
korod40
OP2 years agoYeah, I get all that you are saying, but how do I find Triple headed Monitors on the USA ebay so i can buy it
lacemaker3
·2 years agoThere aren't a lot of all-inclusive triple monitors listed on eBay USA, that's true. But you won't be able to use UK monitors in the USA because of the incompatible voltage, so you shouldn't be thinking of buying any electrical device like that from the UK.
You can get triple monitor stands on eBay USA, though. You would have to buy the monitors separately, but either way you would have to assemble them once you got them, so that wouldn't be any different from buying an all-inclusive set.

Which website are you on for the Item?
If all you see is pounds sterling then you are not logged into eBay.com.

If you cant see the item on eBay.com then that seller doesn't ship to US.
