Tricked by a seller, ebay will not help.
I purchased a holster. The seller clearly says it will fit a Glock .45 or 9mm. It fit neither. I asked the seller for a refund and he refused. Ebay won't let me open a case because the seller said no refunds. That is false advertising and I will escalate this to another agency above ebay, for them allowing a seller to rip some one off so they can keep the seller fees.

·1 year agoHmmm...I have a Glock by the way.
These "pistols are illegal for civilians in the US".
Just having the word in the title or description or exchanging the word in emails did it.
Agreed you should get a refund for a holster.
But using such a word anywhere in emails, item for sale and such will get no refund.
And that's your artificial intelligence coming on...which may not recognize a Glock from a holster yet.

OP1 year agoNo I said item not as described but when I looked after a few minutes they listed it as does not fit.

·1 year agoThey didn't do anything, you chose not as described and for the reason you chose didn't fit.
That is why your return was denied

We are asked to choose among 10 different ‘reasons’ for requesting a return. None of them are actually called ‘Not as described’. [The closest wording to NAD is ‘Doesn’t match description or photos’.]
eBay goes by the reason we choose … rather than our verbal description of the problem … in deciding whether our reason is buyer’s remorse.
You must have chosen ‘Doesn’t fit’ as the reason … because it cannot choose itself. Many buyers have done this without awareness of the consequences. It simply doesn’t occur to them that it can close the claim when a seller doesn’t accept returns.
You can try filing a claim for a refund with either PayPal (if you’re still within 30 days of delivery) or with your credit card company. Good luck!

When you tried to open a case with eBay did you choose 'doesn't fit' as the reason for the return? If so, eBay considers that a remorse return and defaults to the seller's return policy. Had you selected that the item wasn't as described in the listing it would have fallen under eBay's Money Back Guarantee and you would have been sent a return label and refunded, no matter what the seller said about returns.
Sadly this is an area where eBay doesn't communicate well in the return process. You might try contacting customer service on one of the social media platforms to see if the reason for the return can be modified. Those reps are actual eBay employees and are far more savvy than the third-party CS call center. Or if you just want to bypass the hassle you should just dispute the charge with your payment source.
