theft
either ebay is directly stealing peoples money or is allowing others to. i bout an item that did not show up and i gave the seller as much time as i could to make a late delivery but when i called ebay they said to call back at a later date and when i did several times it always said i was calling outside of regular business days so i finally got ahold of ebay with a call back number and they told me the other number is no longer in service and i was past time to be eligible for a refund. i also have another late item and both together are over $50.00 and i would not be a bit surprised if something similar happens with the second item. so if you buy from this criminal organization you have been warned about them. good luck.

Ebay gives a strong money back guarantee to buyers which you unfortunately decided to deal with phone calls rather than start the process of file a return "Item not received" case. This problem was a mistake on your part not Ebay's. Read the policy and don't blame for your mistake.

·11 months agoIf you know the policy then why are you here? If you have an issue with a seller that you have received an item you file a "Item not received" case within 30 days. You made the decision to call Ebay. You have to file a case through the system not call Ebay. All you did was let your time expire. So time expires and all the sudden Ebay is at fault for this?
A far as calling Ebay you could have gone to Chatbox/then typed in your issue. Then state "agent please" keep on typing that then you have Ebay call back.

How much time after the last estimated delivery date did you give the seller before trying to contact ebay? Then how long did you waste time trying to call phone numbers you found online, some of which try to steal your account information. If you let it go over the 30 days limit, you lost your protections, and cannot blame ebay for your not reading the terms and time frames of their Money Back Guarantee (MBG).
Since you have another item that is late arriving, If there's no tracking showing it was received by the shipper, Open your order details and look for the last estimated delivery date, if that date has not passed, there's nothing you can do, until it has. If the date has passed and there's no tracking or updates, beyond label created, you can click on the More actions button select "I haven't received it" from the list. If all you see when clicking on More actions, is Return item. Click on that to see the list of reasons, and follow through to file an item not received (INR) dispute, which will appear just above the item title in your purchase history.
The seller will have 3 days to respond by proving they have shipped the item or issuing a refund. If they do neither on day 4 click on the dispute and then on the Ask ebay to step in button in it. A refund will be issued from the seller's account.

OP11 months agoi called ebay close to the end of the month the first time then the same nuber kept saying i was calling outside of business hours. after about a week of calling the same number i found a different number that said ebay will call me back in a few minutes. when they called they said the number i was calling is no longer used.

·11 months agoIf you 'called ebay' from a number you found in a google search, that's a scam number. Ebay hasn't had a direct CS phone number since covid. You said in response to @bonanza125 you know the policy? Makes one wonder why you didn't adhere to it.

It's a good idea to read about the MBG and how to use it.
There was no need to contact CS, just use the MBG.
A day after the estimated delivery date Ebay gave you, open an Item Not Received case.
Go to your purchase history and click I didn't get it in the menu next to the item.
The seller will have 3 days to provide a tracking number showing it was delivered or refund.
If they don't, return to the case on day 4 and ask Ebay to step in.

·11 months agoThe majority of purchases on eBay come with a Money Back Guarantee. ALL eBay buyers as well as ALL eBay sellers owe it to themselves to become familiar with this, preferably BEFORE beginning to buy or sell here.
For instance, your purchase had a last estimated delivery date shown to you in the listing. Evidently, that date was satisfactory to you or you wouldn't have made the purchase, right?
Now here's where the MBG comes in. If/when you do not receive your item by that date, you can open an item not received case with eBay. If, however, there is tracking showing that your package is in transit, you might want to give it a few more days.
To open an INR case, you, the buyer, find the item in your Purchases. You click on "did not receive my item". That process opens a case and the seller is notified that there's a problem.
The seller has 3 days to respond or simply refund you.
If that does not happen, you can return to the case on day #4 and ask eBay to step in. You'll be refunded from the seller's funds.
Don't know what all that phoning and waiting etc was about. You had 30 days from the EDD to make a claim. Sounds like you let that deadline skip past. Your best resort now is to do a chargeback on your credit card.
In regard to the item you did receive, but is not as described, consult the MBG regarding your options also.
BTW, regarding buying from this "criminal organization", you did not buy from eBay because eBay sells nothing. You bought from an individual eBay seller just like you've done before.
