When I request a total (for items that do not combine shipping automatically or automatically offer a choice between normal and registered mail) time starts to run immediately.
Will the clock reset when the seller sends an invoice with combined/upgraded shipping?
Or do I pay first and then seek a refund as appropriate?

OP3 years agoBy the way is it possible for sellers to offer self collection (buyer meets seller at a place like his/her/their shop to collect items) in the region where I am located? I don't seem to see a lot of items offering self collection in Asian countries, and I divide my time amongst several such countries in Southeast and East Asia.
What are the payment rules and deadlines for self collection (or pickup) anyway?

OP3 years agoThank you all. Yes, the seller did send the upgraded and combined invoice quickly, and it has already been paid... Hoping for no more hitches once the item enters the postal system...

·3 years agoYou need to ask the seller if they can combine first. I do believe that the clock resets but please don't take that as a moment to make the poor seller wait more. Once you get your invoice combining (assuming that they do combine), pay it immediately.
Like the other person stated, combining does not always mean cheaper. If the items are fragile (glass), some sellers (like me ) will NOT combine 2 breakable items into 1 box.

·3 years agoThe appropriate approach would be to ask the seller if they combine shipping before you make your purchases.
Combined shipping doesn’t always mean that there would be a discount involved since adding items to a package not only increases the weight but also the size of the package.
Most shippers if not all charge by weight and dimensions of the package.
The clock for payment begins at the time of purchase and resets when and if the seller sends an invoice.
You can pay now, but there are no guarantees on any sort of discount.
