Suspending my account
I received a message from EBAY that a third party may be using my account and advising me that my account was suspended. The email indicated that usually these matters were resolved in a couple of days. Unfortunately, the suspension of my account was resolved by my account being terminated at the very time I was trying to start a return of an item I had ordered in error. It is also interesting that immediately prior to attempting to start a return, I placed an order for the correct item I intended to order. It is interesting that order was not cancelled. I guess that would have been unfair to the seller. This means I can no longer buy, sell or make returns with EBAY which includes not being allowed to return the item I ordered by mistake.
EBAY will l not discuss why my account was terminated, but they do wish me the best of luck in the future.

How did you receive the message that a 3rd party may be using your account? If it was through your regular email it may have been a phishing attempt. If you were asked to contact them through a site link and had to give your username or password it probably was a phishing attempt. If you did not delete the email, forward it to spoof@ebay.com you should get a reply within a few days.
If the reply says it was a phishing attempt. Login to your account scroll to the bottom of a page and click on the Security Center button, and let them know what has happened. If you paid for the replacement item all you can do is hope the seller has sent it.
