Suspended account & Ebay keep my money
I paid (to Ebay) over £200 for a camera but Ebay told the seller not to send it because I had changed my password and tel number.
Ebay suspended my account and now refuse to give me back the payment.
It is not possible to get further than the help desk.
Can anyone help please.

We may not be able to help you because you are located in Spain. If you signed up to use ebay on the Spain's ebay site www.ebay.com.es You should use the link to sign into that site, and post your issue on its Community. This is ebay's U.S. based site (ebay.com).
You may want to explain to the member's of the Spain sites community, why you changed your password and phone number. Changing a phone number is not an uncommon thing, but changing both the number and password at one time might have raised a red flag. By any chance did you try to buy the item as a guest?

OP1 year agoThanks I will try what you said. I do understand it was probably my fault - I didnt use the account since before I retired and that was many years ago! But ebay just do not want to return my money whatever I say.

·1 year agoYou say you didn't used the account for "many years," however your profile shows that the account was just opened on May 7, 2025. That's just 2.5 weeks ago.

·1 year agoOP said they opened a new account so they could contact ebay after their old account was blocked. I'm guessing this is the new account and they didn't link it to the old one.

·1 year agoYeah, something shady going on here. You just opened an account and then changed password and phone number. Makes no sense.

OP1 year agoNothing shady really - I explained everything to ebay after opening another account because my blocked account didnt allow me to talk to anyone. I do understand it was probably my fault - I didnt use the account since before I retired and that was many years ago! But ebay just do not want to return my money whatever I say.
