Supplements Purchase On Ebay
What sort of protection from tampering is there from sellers of such items? I made a purchase then get an email from Ebay stating the seller has been removed due to issues. How do I find out what the issues are?

·4 months agoNo protection except from the official website of the supplements or an approved retailer by them.
You are braver than myself buying supplements from a stranger online (anywhere).

·4 months agoEbay doesn't provide that information to you. Purchase whatever you were interested in from someone else. I personally wouldn't purchase supplements on Ebay and would purchase from a store only but that's just me.

·4 months agoYou don't get any more information than what was stated in the message. At this point if eBay does not automatically refund you, on the day after the estimated shipping arrive by date shown, open an item not received case for a refund.
BUT!
Check to make sure the item(s) were not shipped. If they were, can happen, come back and update your post before opening any case for refund.
Personally, I would never buy vitamins, supplements off eBay or would only do so after checking feedback.

·4 months agoYou do not get to find out. The seller's privacy rights preclude Ebay sharing that information with you.
Many buyers will not buy anything they ingest on Ebay. Many sellers are selling product they buy at retail from the clearance shelves in stores which are short dated. Others are selling counterfeit product.
You have engaged in high risk shopping and should know better than to risk your health.

Remember the poisoned Tylenol threat that occurred several years ago when signs of tampering with the packaging were almost impossible to detect, especially by the average user.

·4 months agoI remember. Packaging methods have improved since then. The seals on most drugs and supplements are much less likely to allow hidden tampering. But that does not mean that some folks will use these products, blissfully unaware of obvious warning signals.
Buying on many online internet marketplaces is the equivalent of buying from banana boxes of short dated or expired products and returned products at a flea market. But at a flea market, you can see what you are buying before you buy.
When I sold anything I could make a buck on, in the early days of Ebay, I had sources for bulk purchase of "shelf pulls" from a major pharmacy chain. I bought in bulk, and not everything I bought made it into my Ebay listings. I would like to think that that is because I cared about my fellow man. More likely, it was because I do not like hassles.
