I collect stamps on Ebay. i will bid money on several items from sellers who have put their different items on different days (or weeks). The first few will be bought but there may be several yet to come days later. The sellers will wait so the winning bids can be sent together, with combined postage. At the moment I am finding I am being barred with some sellers as you are saying I am a 'bad payer'. You have not told me you are going to do this, nor who has complained. I am not a bad payer as my sellers I use will tell you. Four days is not long enough for buying several stamps. Just lately I have used some new sellers, perhaps it is one of them, but without knowing how do I appeal?

·4 months agoYou are required to pay for your winning bid after auction ends and if you don't then yes you can be barred from bidding/buying from a seller. Communication with a seller before bidding is key. You may also have to set up with the seller the ability to combine ship. You can just bid and win on an item and then wait weeks not only to pay but for the seller to ship out. Buyers are expected to pay immediately and sellers are expected to ship within the handling date they set. There is no appeal. Sorry. You made a mistake in thinking the way you purchase is acceptable on Ebay.

·4 months agoSellers have their setting set in a way that conflict with how you like to buy. Some are set to require immediate payment, not allowing you to continue to shop...you may think 4 days is not enough time, yet the seller wants payment the moment you purchase. Others can restrict if you have X number of purchases not paid for, regardless if the first seller is giving you time to pay. Nothing to do with being a bad payer, just not compliant with how some sellers have their settings set. No idea if settings can be different in the UK or not.

Does eBay in the UK actually use the terminology "bad payer"?

·4 months agoNot sure who you think you are talking to - but I don't sell stamps and have never sold stamps.
This is a public community forum and your post is read by MANY PEOPLE, not just the seller who scorned you.

If you want to "wait to pay" it is best to ASK the seller 1st.
eBay allows 4 days to pay or you get an unpaid item strike.
Most sellers have their account set to automatically stop non-payers from bidding on their items.
Sellers are here to sell and get the item shipped, not sit around waiting for someone to pay or not.
Sellers can make exceptions for buyers, especially those who ask in advance.
Some sellers will - Some sellers wont.
If they wont you either pay right away or buy from someone else.
