Stolen package

Has anyone had issues with their package being stolen from the lobby of their building?A package I ordered from eBay was delivered outside of my secured mailbox and someone in my 70 unit building stole it. USPS has been no help at all. After contacting the seller, and having eBay step in, I get an email saying my case was closed and I will not receive a refund or the item. So the money I spent is just gone. I just think it's really inconsiderate and irresponsible behavior that the buyer is just S.O.L. in this situation. Has this happened to anyone else before?

Explain how an ebay employee can steal your package?

EBay doesn't sell anything but webspace for sellers to sell their items.

And please turn off your caps lock, Typing in all caps is considered shouting.
