Speakon cables misrepresented!
Please be aware if you are interested in buying Speakon cables from Ebay vendors. There has been a great number of pages advertising these as being 12 gauge (AWG)... yet the cables often received are actually closer to 14AWG...so you may not get what you are expecting. For lower powered amplification applications it might not matter, but they will be more lossy and current limited than the 12 AWG.

Were the cables mis labeled (on the cable) or are they just sending smaller cables in replace of 12 gauge?

OP1 year agoThey seem to be stretching the truth. Their descriptions claim 12 gauge...but in reality they are using 14 gauge to manufacture them. Definitely not a one off mistake. Other than that...they seem fine...but you should get what you think your asking for when you purchase them based on the description and product that meets your application needs. Thanks for your question. (Also I know that they can be returned easily but with the nuisance of packiing and getting them back out. I had to do this with a shipment of the same products sent by a vendor through Amazon for the same problem!)

·1 year agoIf they're not as described return them. The seller will be required to pay for the return shipping label. That's the only way they'll learn to describe their items correctly.
