Sorry ebay is no longer legitimate source
Placed order, paid, received repetitive inaccurate shipping information from vendor [Name removed by Moderator]. No recourse to contact seller and TEMU type rabbit hole trying to contact ebay. Will contact State of Texas Attorney General and report sales tactics on Monday morning. So sad, since ebay has been legitimate shopping source for so long 😞

·6 months agoExactly what was the "repetitive inaccurate shipping information from vendor" that you received? If tracking showed it to have been delivered, but you did not receive it, that's a whole different problem and needs to be handled somewhat differently.
If you will return here and give more details about this shipping information, we would like to help you.

Unless the seller is a trans Muslim I can guarantee the Texas Attorney General won't care. He's too busy running for Congress.

·6 months agoWhat was the last estimated date for delivery?
Has that date passed?
-- Open an Item Not Received claim.
Is the date still in the future?
-- Mark the last estimated delivery date on your calendar.
-- Stop watching tracking, it doesn't help .

Monday Feb 16 is a holiday.

·6 months agoThree problems with this.
1.) You could just open an INR case, no contacting ebay required.
2.) Monday is a federal holiday, all you'll get is their voicemail.
3.) Texas' AG doesn't care about consumers - he is a stooge for big business.

·6 months ago'report sales tactics on Monday morning'.....nope...Monday is a holiday.
And tracking from UK to USA will be rather strange since it is coming from one country to another either by air or sea.
'ebay is no longer legitimate source'...but you only made one purchase as we can see so far on the account.

You don't have to contact the seller or eBay. Do as advised above. Open an Item Not Received claim. You'll be made whole.

·6 months agoCan you explain what you meant by "received repetitive inaccurate shipping information from vendor"?
Is there tracking and what does it indicate?

·6 months agoI generally find that it's irrelevant what happens or doesn't happen to an item between the time I purchase it and the last estimated delivery date. I've pretty much stopped watching tracking because I've come to the conclusion that its value has been oversold to buyers. It doesn't make any difference to when or how I receive the item.
As has already been suggested, your remedy is to file an Item Not Received case after the last estimated date of delivery. That will get the seller on eBay's radar more than anything else.
It seems weird to vilify eBay over the actions (or lack thereof) of one seller, though. It's a bit like boycotting a shopping mall because a clerk at the food court gave you the wrong change.
EDIT: Changed "customers" to "buyers" for clarity

·6 months agoYou're right -- tracking itself doesn't make much difference in how you receive the item.
But tracking will be what eBay will look at if/when you open an item not received case. If tracking indicates delivery, and you did not receive it, then you will have some work ahead of you if you want to fix the issue and either get your item or receive a refund.

·6 months agoNot trying to sound nitpicky, @soh.maryl, but it's not the tracking that eBay is looking for but confirmation of delivery. What happened before that isn't generally relevant to an INR case unless there's some indication of a delay, and even then, the bot dealing with the case probably won't take that into consideration.

·6 months agoAgain not trying to sound nitpicky, but tracking is indeed what eBay is looking for, because tracking is what shows confirmation of delivery. What maryl's post said is that if tracking indicates delivery and the OP didn't receive it then the next steps aren't to do what every other poster has suggested, i.e., open an item not received case. Since it's not clear from the OP what constitutes "repetitive inaccurate shipping information", and since the fake tracking scam is so prevalent, it seems to me to be a good caution to include.

·6 months agoIn addition, tracking updates do affect the timing of the process of an INR case, since the WTO extend the timeframe if there is recent updates on the tracking, even if it’s not yet delivered.

·6 months agoRight, but that's more for the seller's benefit than the buyer's. I'm taking the view that tracking is largely irrelevant for buyers.

·6 months agoSellers are not required to respond to messages and don't know what the AG will do about that.
Checking their feedback would have saved you some time and trouble.

·6 months agoNot much info to work with here, but if you did not receive your eBay purchase, why not just open an item not received case with eBay?
