sloooow shipping - NOT SATISFIED
I have been buying and selling on Ebay for many years now and find shipping has become terribly slow. I placed an order 6 days ago for an item and still have no shipping or tracking info. If an item from a seller is not in stock they should not be able to list it! There is no reason that a seller can't ship an item within a day or 2. I've already waited 2 weeks to receive an item that was shipped from the US.
I receive items from Walmart or Amazon within a few days! If Ebay can't fix this I'll be doing less business here.

You have been using ebay for years but seemingly do not check the Shipping info or seller's feedback profiles. If you click on the underlined See details on the Shipping line You may find out what the seller's handling time is.
You may have bought from a seller who has a fair number of feedback and even a 100% rating, but it could all be for buying, at least in the last year. New or very occasional sellers often do not know that ebay places a 21 -30 day hold on their first few payments. All they know is the status of your payment is marked as Pending so they often do not think the funds have cleared yet, so they do not ship, or even respond to messages. If you find that your seller is a new/returning one, try messaging them and tell them if they haven't shipped because of your payment's pending status, to do a google search for "Payments on hold, ebay" If they do that they should get the info they need to ship your item.

Do you have regional warehouses with hundreds of employees you ship your items from? Walmart & Amazon do and that's why they can deliver items within a few days. Have you ever had a weather event, family or job related issue prevent you from shipping an item you sold on time? If not you have been lucky.
@tobaccocardyahoo , pointed out that ebay has a mix of experienced and not very experienced sellers on the site. The experienced ones have their items ready to ship only needing a label to be stuck on the package. Inexperienced ones may still be looking for an appropriate box for an item they have listed, when it is sold. If you check the shipping info and feedback profiles you may not run into sellers who are slow to ship.

·11 months agoThe sellers you are dealing with are competing with Amazon and Walmart sellers and may not be qualified to sell these items on those sites.
Ebay admits to losing this type of business and is emphasizing other types of products in its strategy.
Your threat to stop buying these items on Ebay is justified and you are late in deciding not to buy them here.
There is an excellent chance that you are buying from sellers who do not own what they offer and need to scramble to buy it when they get an order. Or are dealing with sellers who are buying from clearance shelves or liquidation channels and may not be organized enough to behave like a real business.
Ebay has a mixture of amateurs and pros and fewer barriers to entry as a seller. The down side is that some of these sellers have less skill, and less motivation to please than sellers on other websites.

·11 months agoAs well, there are sellers, as well as buyers, who've rushed into selling or buying on eBay without reading one word about the way it works.
Those are the sellers who come here with "My listing stated no returns so why does the buyer think he can return it?'' or the buyers whose complaint is "I bought and paid for it on Monday and this is Wednesday and he hasn't shipped it yet".

·11 months agoKeep in mind not all sellers are this way. It really varies. I would suggest looking a feedback or even messaging the seller first before purchasing to make sure that the item you will be receiving will be shipped immediately. I get a bunch of messages asking those types of questions before purchase. Ebay sellers are not Walmart or Amazon. It's completely different. You also receive items faster from those companies because they can be local. Your Ebay seller isn't local. They could be shipping from across the country.

·11 months agoSmall sellers who sell an occasional item can ship fast.
Some of us sellers prefer the 3-5 business days (that excludes Saturdays-Sundays which are not business days) maybe because the weather might not be fair outside(flash flood, hail, snow, tornado warnings and so on).
It's really easy to see and read a seller's feedbacks in regards if shipping might be slow.
I bought something the other day on eBay and it was cheaper than on Amazon...and yet it came from Amazon in like 2 days. I save a few bucks and got the same shipping service...LOL

Every listing has an estimated delivery date, doesn't it?
Basically, that date is all that really matters because, as you probably know, you cannot open an item not received case until that date has passed by at least one day.
How do you figure eBay would be able to prevent a seller from listing something unless it's in their possession?
So you're comparing WalMart or Amazon with some little seller who has ten things listed and has only themselves to handle orders?
