Should i go ahead and get ebay involved on my refund?
I purchased an item to realize it was the wrong size. I returned the item just as packaged and the seller received it January 8th. I read that they have till the 13th to give my refund (to the tune of $300 something). It is the 13th and i don't see anything, called my bank, etc and nothing is pending.
I have one thing on ebay that says if I haven't recieved my refund by the 13th to let them know but then another says I should recieve my refund by the 14th. So here are my questions.
1.Should I go ahead and contact the seller and ask today?
2. If I wait till AFTER the 14th can I still get ebay involved on my refund and/or would it cause problems if I wait till after the 14th??
3. Or should I go ahead and contact ebay?
Thank you 😊

·1 year agoAs others have stated as well as Ebay wait til the 14th and then have Ebay step in. Do not call or have Ebay contact you. You would be wasting your time. Go back to the case and have them step in.

·1 year agoWith the 13th being the third business day, I'd ask eBay to step in on the 14th. Good luck.

OP1 year agoYes i understand that, I am asking though if I wait to contact ebay till the 14th would it cause an issue. I'm pretty new to selling/buying things on ebay so just making sure I'm OK either way 😊

" purchased an item to realize it was the wrong size. I returned the item just as packaged and the seller received it January 8th".
How did you go about returning the item? If you filed a dispute through ebay that required you to return the item at your own cost because Did Not Fit is considered a buyer's remorse return, you had to upload the tracking number to the return claim, so that ebay would know it was sent and received. Then they could step in and force the refund. Hopefully, you still have the postal receipt with the tracking number. If you do not you may be out of luck. If you did send the tracking # to the seller open your ebay messages click on Sent or the message stream between you and the seller to get the tracking number.
If all you did was to contact the seller about the return, that was not how you should have handled it. All returns should be handled by going through ebay, using the More actions button in your purchase history. It might help us if you open your Order details and get the ebay item number (12 digits no hyphens) and post it here so we look at it, and can advise you on the best way to proceed.
I'm pretty sure you will have to contact ebay through one of their social media outlets but it will depend on your reply to these messages.

OP1 year agoI did the return only through ebay, it shows through ebay the moment I sent it back at the post office and ebay informed me they recieved it. So it was all done through ebay
