Shipments from overseas IE China
Summary: redlabel20ga expressed frustration over misleading shipping information on a recent purchase, where the location was stated as Missouri but turned out to be China. They criticized eBay for not being transparent about the fulfillment locations of sellers. mudshark61369 responded by explaining the practice of drop shipping and how to identify sellers' actual locations by checking feedback profiles. They provided a link to further insights on avoiding such issues.
I do not like being misinformed about where products ship from. My last order stated in the order confirmationdetails that it was shipping from Missouri. Not until I retrieved tracking information was I provided the actual fulfillment location which was NOT Missouri. It was China. Once any deceptive EBAY listing allows the seller to be deceptive about the actual location of order fulfillment the transaction and sale should be considered corrupted. Without any exception this is 100% deceptive. My experience with fulfillment from locations outside of the USA is not satisfactory. It appears sellers are not required to post where products are coming from. EBAY needs be 100% transparent about where ALL orders shipping from. But eBay is not. How do other buyers feel about the deception? I feel cheated. Sincerely yours, AN EBAY FAN.

There are sellers located in other countries who use U.S. based product sources to ship items from known as Drop Shipping. There are also many Chinese sellers who are registered in the U.S. that ship from chinese Govt. owned warehouses in the U.S. You may be able to avoid buying from those sellers by checking their feedback profile page. If the seller's country of registry is not in the U.S. but the item location says it is, click the back button and find the item from another seller.
You can learn what to look for on listing pages and in feedback profiles by reading my reply in the link below.

FYI. any item shipped from a different country than given in the Item location can be returned for being Not As Described because the item location is a part of the description and the seller has to pay the return shipping cost.
