Shipment not received. Label didn't have my address on it. but seller told ebay it did = no refund
My $40.00 item was not delivered to my address, and my address was not on the label per Federal Express. Per fed ex: "Wasn't able to match that street number with the one from the tracking label".
The seller did not respond to my inquiry text, in telling them the item wasn't received and must have gone to the wrong address. The seller shipped the item to the wrong address and I dd not receive the item.
Ebay is not correct in their decision to not refund me, as I provided the image (from fed ex) that is NOT my front door and the tracking info that says: "The address is not the one in their system."
I paid for the item and never received it. Fed Ex States That My ADDRESS is not in their system for this package. And Ebay said the case was closed because the seller told them that they provided tracking info that had my address. They are clearly lying, as fed ex, the shipper, said otherwise.
Upon opening a case, with Ebay:
Ebay said "After reviewing all the details of this case, we determined you won't receive a refund. We're sorry you had a problem with your purchase. However, the seller provided tracking information that shows the item was delivered to your address." How can they say that it was delivered to my address if the address wasn't my address, on the tracking info and label, and the image of the front door was not my door?
What's going on with ebay lately? Why are they letting sellers get away with fraud and take your money? You can't contact a live agent anymore, by phone or chat, because they just keep putting you in a loop of "this item was already delivered, or this case/item issue was already closed." They've really gone down the tubes. No support for customers. Poor business practice.

OP1 year agoIt worked!!! I used the Facebook messenger. Here was their response:

Sounds like the typical "fake tracking scam". Though it has been going on here for over a decade, it is still a go to and successful criminal enterprise. It is reported here almost daily and often more than once.
Please read some of these to see what you need to do, and more importantly what NOT to do to get a refund. Filing "item not received" when there is tracking that shows "delivered" will get you nowhere fast even if the information is fake. Unfortunately, INR is the only choice given by eBay. So read some of these for other options and do come back for more advice.

OP1 year agoWow!!! It happens more often than I knew!!! Thank you for the valuable info and references. And yes "not received" WAS the only option. And I'm CERTAIN that the seller is part of the guilty scammers cause they refuse to talk to me at all and just keep saying they shipped it, and it was received at my address, which is a flat out lie, that eBay is believing. Do let us know what they say. If you have any issues others here can help you as well. I am sorry I could not answer your post today other than just to provide the links. It typically takes A LOT OF WORDS to try and explain what happened to you and to provide details of what works and what won't to get your money back You were one of three who posted today, and I had a very busy family related schedule and just didn't have the time to provide more personal information for you.
The "denial" message you got from ebay saying the seller provided delivery confirmation is a form letter that they send to just about everybody, hoping they will give up and go away. We have seen it plenty of times.
While you are waiting you may wish to check to see if your seller is still a registered user. Usually, unless you are their first victim, this is likely not their first rodeo and eBay may have already given the ID the proverbial axe. You will have to get to their feedback page. On the boards here we can get to that information by clicking on the number under the user name. For example, yours at this time is 219 with a green star.
eBay makes it more difficult to get to that page now from a listing, but if you go to your own from here you can delete your user name in the URL after the "forward" strike and before the & and replace it with theirs to get where you need to go. You can then see the country of registration of the seller, any negatives they already have acquired, and if they are 'no longer a registered user'. Checking that page would be helpful in the future to help determine if you want to spend your money on anything else.

If the seller has already been removed, that is a good sign for you.

OP1 year agoOh great. I guess I didn't give it a better research on location and the seller is based in China and is a fairly new seller, since 2024. My mistake. That'll teach me.

I've issued you a full refund, and the funds are returning to you now They will take about 24-48hrs to process through our system, and will be passed to your financial institution beyond that. They'll then begin processing them back to your available balance. We appreciate you reaching out to eBay on this, and we hope you have a wonderful day. “ ~Dave
