Verizon email has been around for years, in conjunction with its FIOS fiber optic service. Just because you've never heard of something doesn't make it a dinosaur. Education should be lifelong.
Actually AOL is not the dinosaur you might think. They bought out Verizon's email a number of years ago. So while I have a verizon.net email address it goes through AOL. If I want to get to my email in a browser I do it through aol.com.
I'm sorry, but in my eyes you just made AOL sound more like a dinosaur, simply because I had no idea there was any email service by Verizon, and the fact that Verizon gave up on their own email service and AOL snatched it up makes me feel like AOL is where things go to die...
It's like Internet Explorer and FireFox...
What's next? Old school Nokia's and Motorolla Razors?
Mind you, I'm young. I'm on the cusp, 100% borderline, between Millenials & Gen Z by age, by some standards I'm Gen Z age but I 100% identify as a Millenial. (God, I just said "I Identify as"... that just scared me for real)
If you asked if ebaypayouts@ebay.com was real I would say yes, that something from ebay.com is from eBay, however that url from aol.com is not from eBay.
