Sellers not shipping item just generating fake tracking. - need help please!
Hello,
I have had an issue lately where I have ordered and paid for items. Once the item has been paid a tracking label has been generated by the seller but the item is never physically shipped. Low and behold 2 weeks later when the item doesn't arrive I then have to wait further time before ebay can step in. This has now happened to me a few times most recently in the last 2 weeks.
I have contacted the seller before I have placed order to confirm they will ship and the seller is always very responsive, but very difficult to contact after you pay to inquire about the item being shipped! I have been on chat with ebay agents multiple times which have all told me something different. Unfortunately the result is always a refund and no closer to getting my items. I'm frustrated with the sellers and with ebay who seem to only say the seller may face some sort of downgrading. All sellers have decent feedback 95%+. How can I get confirmation the item has left the sellers premises? How can I get ebay to act when this doesn't happen and there is a fake tracking number with no movement? What can I do to stop this happening in the future?

·2 years agoHappened to me twice this month-they all seem to be in California (no offense). Ebay said that these 'sellers' do not get the money (payout) until the packages are actually received into the network (scanned and moving). Hope this is the case. I also noticed that the tracking numbers are generated within seconds of the order getting confirmed.

·1 year agoThis also just happen to me. Seller has decent feedback and was "known" to ship fast and be communicative. Ordered on 15th, a label was generated on the 17th hours after I inquired as to why the delay, it's now 23rd and seller has never once responded to any of my messages. And I can never get in touch with ebay EVER! Ebay is just ridiculous at this point continuing to allow this non sense.

·1 year ago1. You have responded to a post that's nearly 2 yrs old.
2. Every eBay listing includes an estimated delivery date. That date is the only thing that matters. If/when that date arrives, and the buyer hasn't received his package, he can open an item, not received case the day after and has 30 days to do so with eBay. If he fails that deadline, most credit cards allow a chargeback up for a longer period, some as long as 180 days. Almost none of the responders here have mentioned that they opened an item not received case with eBay or that they knew that option was available to them.
3. And, it bears repeating, 95% is not a good feedback percentage.

·1 year agoThere is nothing wrong with a 95% rating. You really have to look at feedback to understand / get a better feeling for supplier performance.

·1 year ago@cmountain ,
Go to your purchase history open the listing you bought from then look in the right column for Shipping: cost -service and click on the See details button. On the page that opens look to see if the seller has posted their handling time, the number of days after receiving payment that they usually ship by.
You may also want to check the seller's feedback profile page on the page above the first comment on the right click on [ Most relevant v ] and select Most recent. then look to see if the last feedback they received for selling was over a year ago. If it was, it is likely the seller has run into the 21-30 day hold ebay places on all new or returning sellers first few payments, and they do not know how to deal with it.
On their account your payment status shows Pending, so they do not think it has cleared yet, and because of that they may think your messages are an attempt to scam them some how and that's why they haven't shipped or replied. If you want the item and not a refund try messaging them again and tell them if they haven't shipped because of the Pending status to do a Google search for; " Payments on hold, ebay ". If they do that they will learn about the hold and how to deal with it
(Ship with tracking) to get the funds released.

First off, you have posted your issue on the U.S. based site's community (ebay.com) and you are located in Australia so you should login to (ebay.com.au) and post on that community.
The seller's you have been buying from are located mostly in China and have poor feedback percentages under 98.6% which is the cut off for most experienced members. You should always check a seller's actual feedback profile page not just go by percentage. On the profile page you can click on the numbers of negative and neutral feedback a seller has received to read only those comments. Chinese sellers use an automated system to generate shipping labels that may have Australia post tracking numbers, but the international shipping is done by a China based service and the A.P. tracking will not update until the package has arrived in your country.
Are you looking at the last estimated delivery dates for the items you order? If not that is the date you have to wait to pass before you can file an Item Not Received dispute. Once you file the dispute the seller will have 3 days to prove they have shipped, and the item is at least enroute, or issue a refund. If neither has been done by day 4, you ask ebay to step in and they will issue one and take the funds from the seller. All of that is spelled out in the Money Back Guarantee policies which there is a link to on most ebay listing pages.

·2 years ago95% is not decent for a seller.
Im very very picky about where I buy from. No New Sellers, No Sellers under 98%, absolutely No foreign (China) sellers...
IF the price seems too go to be true .... IT IS!
If the seller has only stock photos - I will buy elsewhere.
IF there are 20 of the exact same items for sale, different sellers, same photo ... I know it is a drop shipper and I can do better in other places.

·2 years agoTo Stop from happening in the future:
Just purchase things that show a 'reasonable' amount of time in the ESTIMATED DELIVERY DATES. Then; once the last date has passed by 1 day, you can open a 'Not Received' return for refund. With 100,000,000 items on ebay and SELDOM are there NOT any others to choose from- this should be quite easy.
To get ebay to act:
Open a 'Not Received' one day after the delivery date (be SURE The tracking number does NOT say it was 'delivered)
