Seller's listing does not indicate how much it cost to ship to international locations via gsp
I'm interested in an auction item being sold by a seller in the US; their listing does not show shipping cost to Hong kong where I reside. I asked the seller, he is willing to ship to Hong Kong but cannot indicate the shipping costs but says it is up to eBay; but I am no wiser here. Still have no clue how much I'll end up paying for shipping if I do win the auction. This is the item number: 186850172514 I appreciate any help on this

Since the Seller's Ships To: Information does not include China or Hong Kong, To avoid getting an Unpaid Item strike ask the seller if they will cancel the transaction giving as the reason "Does Not ship to buyer's address or location, which will allow them to cancel without getting a defect on their account or having to pay fees for the transaction.
You could ask them if they will relist the item with USPS Priority International shipping, as the only shipping method as "Private Listing for whatsupdoctoys", for the amount you won the item for, plus the USPS Priority International shipping cost.
Hint: In the future is a seller's listing gives USPS Ground advantage as the only shipping method, but has a list of countries when you click on the Shipping:.. See details to see other countries listed,
It indicates they use eBay's International Shipping (EIS) which has replaced the (GSP) and does not include China from the Drop Down list of countries.

·1 year agoI do not see that the seller ships to Hong Kong.
My guess is the seller thinks the EIS will ship there ...BUT Hong Kong is NOT on the sellers shipping destinations.
You should not have placed a bid.
You will have to honor the sellers shipping costs if you win.

Yes, looking back I shouldn't have bidded. Fortunately or unfortunately I won the auction. Now I'm stuck.
I did ask the seller before bidding whether he ships to Hong Kong and he said he ships to everywhere but cannot tell me the freight costs as it is determined by Ebay's global shipping program which he has no control over. Unfortunately, I was too stupid and I accepted his explanation and now I cannot even complete the check out as I am barred from paying by eBay's computer program. After I pointed out the problem to him using many messages with photos of his listing, he finally understood my dilemma and his mistake but it was too late for him to adjust his sold listing...I understand that once a listing is sold, you can't alter anything in it, right? So, he told me he is going to find out from eBay but up till now (after 1 day), I still haven't heard from him. Should we call it quits and have him cancel the purchase and start over again?
