Seller's account deleted after purchased, tracking number available
Hi all, I purchased an item from a seller and their account is now removed.
The tracking number shows that the item is of a "Departed Shipping Partner Facility, USPS Awaiting Item" status.
The seller had no reviews and was new. (I have ordered items from new sellers with no reviews before, just last week actually, with no issues so this is a first time for me).
My question is: do I need to be proactive and contact eBay about the seller being removed (not sure if this would even mean anything to eBay) or do I need to wait for movement on the tracking before I open a case?
I guess I don't really have much evidence that I won't get the item, but things are not looking good already.
I paid via PayPal as well.
Not sure what I should do or not do in this situation. Thanks!

·8 months agoIt does sound like the item is in transit. Looks like hybrid shipping where one carrier handles it and delivers it to the postal system. Then they do the final delivery. That might be your local post office so, you might not see any tracking update until just before it's delivered.
With it saying it departed, looks good you will receive it.

I would wait until the day after the Estimated Delivery Date passes before filing an 'item not received' claim. It's not unusual for a new seller to be suspended for a short period of time before their account is in order. You may well receive an 'as described' package in a few days.
