Seller sold me a dead battery
I purchased a battery for $250 for my scooter. I am handicap and need it to get around
When I got it would not start my scooter up. I let the seller (***************) know that I would get the scooter and battery tested. This was expensive and the place that service the scooter was located outside the city. When I had both tested I was told that the battery was dead. Measured a .0 . The seller will not refund my money
This is the first and last time I will buy from ebay.

·10 months agoReturn it as INAD. And I sure hope you bought a battery from the company that performed the test...I bet that one would even come with a 12th month warranty, most likely prorated, but still a warranty
Btw, a battery at 0 is so drained that your charger cant recognize it, sometime a slow charge brings it back to full, and at that point you need to put a load on it to see how it drops to know if its bad/worn out

·10 months agoWhen you buy batteries there is no guarantee it would work no matter where you purchase this type battery which is why there is a money back guarantee with Ebay or if you were to purchase a battery in the stores there would be a warranty. Things happen beyond you or the sellers control. It didn't work. Return it for a full refund. If you don't want to use Ebay again then that's your decision. You have that right however problems like this will happen anywhere.

You are going to stop buying on eBay because you did not know how to file a "Not as Described" claim to get your money back? You are only hurting yourself by doing that.
Just to clarify, because of eBay's Money Back Guarantee, a seller CANNOT refuse to refund a buyer for a Not as Described item. (They can choose whether they want it back or not but they cannot refuse to refund, and that is true even if a seller says "no returns" on their listings.)
And just in case something goes south with a seller (time runs out, etc.) you can always go to your payment source (credit card, etc.) and file a chargeback.

·10 months agoPer eBay's Money Back Guarantee, you have 30 days after receipt of your item to open an item not as described case with eBay. Were you aware of that?
Just go to your purchase history, find this transaction and click on "want to return". The reason will be "not as described".
The seller then has 3 days to either send you a prepaid return label. When/if that does not happen, you return to the case and ask eBay to step in. They'll refund you from the seller's funds and tell you to keep the item. Please take a moment to read the MBG. It contains other important information that you need to know.

·10 months agoprovide evidence to ebay ! so ebay will help you out

·10 months agoWhat "evidence" would work in this case? It's a dead battery, don't think a picture could confirm that.
The process is just a little more complicated than you appear to suggest here.

·10 months agoYour feedback record suggests otherwise. I get that you’re frustrated, but you’ve been using eBay on and off for 14 years. It doesn’t make you look good to make up stories about yourself to try to hide the fact that you appear to be unaware of eBay’s Money Back Guarantee.
