Seller sent me the wrong item, admitted it in correspondence, then disappeared.
I bought an item from someone who sent me the wrong item, does not accept returns, though told me to open a Return case for this, and he would send me the correct item once received. Trouble is, the item purchased is not shown on my purchases page, oddly. But I have the ebay note after I won it.
I believe i have encountered this in my long past of buying on ebay, where some sellers are scammy and somehow make their sales disappear. Regardless, this Seller DID apologize to me in the messages, but then went dark.
There is no open a return case available to me for this item, as it does not show up in Help while logged in. The order number is 24~14082~25775.
*Any ideas how I can apply for the ebay `guarantee` of receiving what I bid on, thank you. â¤ï¸

There are two things to check. Did you inadvertently make the purchase while not logged in? It so it will have been made as a guest. If so read this for information on locating the transaction: https://www.ebay.com/help/buying/paying-items/buying-guest?id=4035
If you didn't make it as a guest check the "See orders:" dropdown at the top right if your purchase history to make sure it's set to a range that will include the purchase.
