Seller reused Item number of item I bought
Bought an item and the seller has now reused the same item number to list another item and that listing says I bought the new item.
The listing is for a completely different product and for a different price.
My purchases page shows the correct item though.
It's been five day and they haven't shipped it either.

·2 years agoTechnically it been only 3 days..."and they haven't shipped it either"....Saturday and Sunday do not count as business days...so it's been only 3 business days. Depending on the price of the item there might be no tracking if it is inexpensive.

OP2 years agoTurns out they did not have it in stock. My order was cancelled because my address was incorrect, which its not.

·2 years agoKeep an eye on the status of your order and any updates from the seller. If the seller fails to ship the item within a reasonable timeframe or if they do not address your concerns satisfactorily, you may need to consider escalating the issue further or seeking assistance from the online marketplace's dispute resolution process.
Remember to remain calm and patient while attempting to resolve the issue with the seller. Most sellers are willing to work with buyers to resolve misunderstandings or errors, but it's essential to take proactive steps to protect your interests as a consumer.

The above gobbledygook really has no pertinence to your situation. Ebay doesn't care that the seller changed the listing after your purchase, nor do you need to communicate with the seller, calmly and patiently or not. All you need to do is go to the item in your purchase history and make a note of the last estimated delivery date. If your purchase hasn't reached you by the day after that date go back to your purchase history and select 'I didn't receive it' under More actions. That will open a Money Back Guarantee case.

OP2 years agoThank you. As of right now it still has not shipped. I noticed their FAQ says they may take two weeks to ship which for someone inside the states is abysmal. Six weeks from China on cheap stuff, okay, maybe. A month from Louisiana?, On something that costs $100, no.
I guess time and feedback will tell.

OP2 years agoI don't know if you are a bot or not, but this answer sounds so canned I want to check the expiration date.

·2 years agoIt's common for the sellers e.g. in China to edit a quantity listing, completely revamping with new photos, description, and pricing to maintain their pole position, again and again.
But as you've found/you'll find, clicking See original listing will show the item you bought, as does your Purchases page.
