Seller reshipping my purchase sense it didn’t arrive but want me to close dispute first
As in the long title the seller wants me to close dispute before they can reship my package that was lost is transit. As you see in the picture below it never even got close to me. I just wanted to know is it possible to wait until the item is received or is transferred to USPS at least before I close dispute. I just have a weird feeling that closing a dispute before a reshipment feels kind of sketchy.

·3 years agoSaw the city of China there. That is a definite no until it is actually in your hands. Once it is in your hands you can close the claim. If item is refunded even though item is still in transit still do nothing. Seller might have to give you a refund before item arrives. That is the seller problem...not yours.

DO NOT close the dispute! DO NOT accept a replacement! Tell the seller you want ONLY a refund. [Your dispute will likely time out while you wait for the replacement ... which might have a similar problem reaching you.]
If the seller doesn't provide a refund within a few days ... then go back to your dispute and ask eBay to step in. Purchase the item from a US seller next time.

·3 years agoAsk eBay to step in as soon as your dispute allows and get your refund. Should the package arrive after you've been refunded (which is highly doubtful) you can either refuse delivery or repay the seller.

OP3 years agoYeah I already set the dispute yesterday and eBay said come back on the 8th if nothing changes I just needed clarification because I normally don’t order too much off of eBay (every blue moon) and usually order stuff from Amazon or just Japanese websites

·3 years agoPlease think about this carefully: You never ever under any circumstances close a dispute until you are satisfied with the end result.
Will you be happy if you close the dispute at the seller's request and never receive the item?
Of course not!
So there's your answer.

·3 years agoNO! It's a typical request (or demand) from Chinese sellers.
If you close the request, you won't get a replacement and won't get a refund.
