Seller not responding
Hi, I bought a Christmas gift from an ebay seller. But after a week since the buy, the seller is not responding to multiple messages. And the item is still not shipped. And estimated delivery is the 1th to 18th of December.
So that is a little too close to Christmas, for me to be unsure that it will get here in time, when there is no communication from seller.
What do I do? It is too late to cancel the order now? And I can therefore not order it from another seller before I get money back?

If the 18th of December is a little too close to Christmas, why would you buy it?

Since you are located in Norway, you probably signed up to use ebay from one of their European sites. You have posted your issue on the U.S. based site (ebay.com) where we are not familiar with European shipping services, so you might get better answers by posting this issue on your home site's community.
Having written the above, In checking your feedback profile page, it seems you buy mostly from China based sellers. If you have received a tracking number it is probably for Norway's national postal service Posten Norge. There would be no updates to the tracking until the item reaches your country and clears customs.
If your country has partnerships with China Post or one of their other international services you may get a tracking number for the service, that will only show a package was received by the carrier, until it reaches your country.
There is really nothing you can do through ebay, until the last estimated delivery date has passed. For future consideration you should always take into account lengthy estimated delivery time frames especially, when dealing with chinese sellers who mostly drop ship from large suppliers, who may not have the items in stock when you place an order. Sometimes it is better to pay a bit more and buy from a seller who is located closer to your country.
If the estimated date of delivery is between the 1st and 18th of December you should have seen those estimates before you made a purchase.
Plus it’s way too soon to worry about whether or not the item shipped, sellers are not required to use tracking or notify you that the item shipped, with that said, your item may be on the way. Sellers are also not required to communicate.
It’s obvious that the seller has a long handling time of which would be shown to you in the shipping area of the listing.
The last estimated date is the 18th of December, that is a week before Christmas so you would be receiving it on time.
If it was a purchase from an international seller the length of delivery times would make sense unless you purchased a presale item which would also make sense.
Buyers can’t cancel transactions only sellers can, you could request to cancel and the seller can deny it.
If you don’t receive your item by the last estimated date of delivery you can open an item not received claim by clicking I didn’t receive it in the transaction.
