Seller never sent item but will not cancel so refund cannot occur.
Summary: lsfox67 expresses frustration with a seller who hasn't shipped an item and refuses to cancel the sale, preventing a refund. Despite multiple communications, the issue remains unresolved, with the seller's actions extending the shipping date. kensgiftshop and eburtonlab advised on filing an 'item not received' case through eBay and highlighted options for recourse through the buyer's payment method. The latter also noted the seller's apparent lack of experience.
Item was never sent and seller will not cancel sale so my refund can go through. He just moved shipping and arrival date forward Full history:
Purchase made on September 13. Seller messaged he needed more $ to meet his needs after paying EBay's fees. Then he said he had problems with shipping due to dollhouse size. I finally asked for refund. He said he could not refund because EBay had the $$. I asked him to cancel order so refund could occur, He said he had already cancelled. I waited to see refund appear. Now I see someone has extended shipping and arrival time to Oct 6!!! This is unacceptable. My $$ is still at his end. Please accept my request to have this order cancelled and refund my money. Thanks very much. Linda Fox

eBay is not here; this is a user forum.
If the seller neither ships nor cancels, the buyer can file an "item not received" case starting the day after the last estimated delivery date, and then ask eBay to step in and force a refund three business days later.
The buyer has thirty days from the last estimated delivery date shown at the time of purchase to start an "item not received" claim with eBay. Once a claim has been started, the buyer has up to twenty-one business days to ask eBay to step in and force a refund. After that, the case is automatically closed without a refund, and eBay can no longer help.

If you wait too long to start a claim or to ask eBay to step in, you may still have recourse through your payment method. Many credit cards offer some protection for items that are not received for up to six months from the date of purchase.
It sounds as if the seller is inexperienced at selling.

·2 weeks agoIf it's a day past the estimated delivery date, open an item not received case for a refund.
You have to do it within 30 days of the EDD.
