Seller is having trouble canceling. I think it's imaginary trouble.
I BIN'd a laptop from a seller which supposedly had an i9 processor in it, according to the listing. I was looking through the pictures of the laptop
a couple days later, wishing that the seller would hurry up and ship, and noticed that the Intel sticker was barely visible at the bottom of a
picture, and that it was actually an i7. I reached out to the seller to confirm and he basically said "oh yeah, I didn't realize it was a big deal."
He agreed to cancel but keeps offering excuses for how he can't find the option, even though I told him exactly what to do. He doesn't have my money, as far as I know, because he never marked as shipped. So he's just purely inconveniencing me and holding up my ability to buy another
laptop.
The cherry on top is that he has already relisted the laptop with the same i9 description, but the
incriminating photo removed.
What should I do to get this order canceled at this point? Will I have to wait and do an INR if he doesn't cancel?

·2 years agoSadly your only option is indeed to open an INR on the day after the last estimated delivery date. EBay can't force a seller to cancel. I normally recommend that buyers not leave negative feedback until they've been refunded. In this case, however, leaving it now might warn some people off the current listing. Just be sure not to mention an eBay case in it.
