Seller has chosen not to receive messages? What does that mean?
So for some reason I tried sending a seller a message about a product listing they have and when I tried sending my message to the seller a message came up saying “We're sorry, but this seller has chosen not to receive messages.†What does this mean? Am I blocked for some reason? Whats going on? (screenshot attached).
If someone could give me an answer that would be ideal. I tried looking this up in other forms but couldn't find anything. Thanks, Marshall.

LOL! The description (which probably violates ebay policy) says they will deliver it for $1 per mile as long as you don't live in a particular city a few miles from them that they named in the listing, but anywhere else in the US is fine.
So you need to message them to arrange delivery and they have their messages turned off.
I am not a fan of the 3am emails asking what this or that coin is worth but that is just part of what it is to be an online seller. I don't see how there is any possible way you can do business with email turned off.
Can't guarantee I would have bought the car but I sure was tempted and the reply to the question I was trying to ask was pivotal. Any seller that won't assist me pre-sale definitely won't post-sale so I guess this is all a moot point anyway.

You need to at least ask if its drivable, right? LOL!
And if it was a deal too good to be true, it probably was...😉

·1 year agoYou know what’s even more fun? When you have an issue and need to return an item, and the seller marks that they’ve sent you a return label, but hasn’t. eBay’s directions are to contact the seller. Well, if you can’t contact the seller, and the action is on you to send the item back within a certain time frame, and they never provided a label, it means your stuck calling eBay to sort it all out.

Is it a regular car seller with a phone number posted in the listing maybe?

Thank you for showing the link and explaining this. I ran into this when messaging a seller of a car I was looking at. They sent me a blind offer that was really worth considering. Poor seller might have just cost themself the sale of a car.
The sale of a car requires communication lol. It isn't like you can just drop it in the mail.

·2 years agoIf you were blocked by the seller you'd get no message, your communication would just quietly pass into the netherworld. A lot of times those who block messages are very high-volume sellers who simply don't have the time or staff to answer hundreds of questions. Often they dropship and wouldn't know the answers anyway. If you feel the answer to your question would be vital information all you can do is find another seller.

·2 years agoIt means that the seller has ticked not to receive messages from buyers. Kinda crazy, but it's allowed.
