Seller Gives False Information
Summary: 1catgrl expressed frustration with a seller who provided inaccurate information about a product, mentioning the importance of sellers knowing their products instead of relying on quick internet searches. tobaccocardyahoo added that many sellers are not well-informed about the items they sell, as they often act merely as intermediaries without in-depth product knowledge. momtoabeautifuldaughter reminded others that sharing buyer or seller IDs is not allowed.
I messaged a seller about an item. I asked a specific question about a product that was listed for sale. I was given false information from the seller because I double checked the product's manual after the seller replied way too fast that according to "Google" the answer to my question was "yes". After checking the product's manual, the answer was "no". Buyers rely on correct information from the seller. This seller should know the products he/she sells and not quickly rely on Google to answer a buyer's question. Sad considering this seller has a 99.8% positive rating.

·3 weeks agoMany sellers do not know anything about the products they sell.
Many sellers are box in/box out processors.
Expecting them to be able to answer questions about features or applications which are not on the outside of the package is high risk.
Few Ebay sellers are manufacturer authorized dealers in the products they sell. Even when the product is sold as NEW.
