Seller experience
I am dropping eBay because eBay is abusive of sellers. The unconditional return policy does not work. Buyers return items knowing full and well that they got what they ordered. The seller has no recourse.

In addition to what @albertabrightalberta , wrote, Why would you want to block Alaska, Hawaii, Puerto Rico? The USPS, FedEx, & UPS delivery time frames are often the same or only a few days more than than delivery to the Continental U.S. locations. The days of "slow boat" shipping are long gone. Now even ground packages will go by air from the continental states to those locations and the other U.S. territories.
If you set up your shipping to be calculated they pay the cost, not you. Trust me, those buyers will be happy because they are often blocked from buying by sellers who won't ship to them.

·1 year agoMy advice in offered in the event you reconsider whether to continue to sell on ebay.
To add to @mudshark61369 's concerns with conditional issues, you need to know that just stating that "Ship to lower 48 states only, no exceptions" won't fly unless you adjust your shipping preferences to prevent buyers in Alaska and Hawaii from being able to purchase from you.
As your listings are set up, buyers in any of the 50 states as well as US territories (PR, Guam) can buy from you.

·1 year agoHave you ever seen the return departments at Wal Mart, Target, Meijer, etc.?, returning things is an American tradition, you have to adjust for it to remain profitable.

·1 year agoAuto parts have a return rate online and offline which rivals fashion clothing.
No returns is an unsustainable practice and your expectations are unreasonable, especially for junk yard parts when sold online.

If you have had issues with buyers returning an item. I can only go by the listing for last item that you sold, that still has its photos and other details available.
In the description you state; "Average condition" but your photos show damage to the intake horns, creases and tears in curved sections of metal, that would take an expert metal worker to repair. You did not describe the extent of the damage, and your photos are offest so the expanded view doesn't show the damage close up. The cost of restoring that to a show condition item would probably double the cost of the piece, while still showing some signs of repair.
That damage alone would easily qualify the condition as "POOR" You also left what looks like some duck tape on one of the horns. What is it covering, and why did you not remove it?
Just because you state AS IS, and have a No Returns policy, does not absolve you from ebay's money back guarantee (MBG) buyer protections. I hope your listings for the electrical items you sold had better descriptions and photos.

·1 year agoI have had good luck with the seller protection . If done right ebay will cover it . If buyer does not open then I see as a reasonable return , but if opened , replaced, damaged then usually seller protection works even if not 100% of the time it will bring your losses down to tolerable. I wouldn't let a couple bad apples stand in the way of your earnings , and let's face it ebay gets you buyers guaranteed if you have the right products .

Can you cite an example where a buyer opens an NAD case and eBay "covered it"?

·1 year agoRight, your no return policy is pretty much worthless if a buyer really wants to return an item.
