Seller disappeared
I purchased an item. Well, let me take a step back. I made an offer on an item and the seller never responded in due time. I wanted it and purchased it at full price. Now it’s the day the item is supposed to arrive (6th) and I’ve sent 8 messages to the seller and never heard back. The put a cancel item action through eBay and he never followed with them. So…the fun of it I picked a random item from his store and asked for measurements of the item. No response back. What should I do?

Was a tracking number uploaded to your Order details, if one was check it to see if it is in route to you. If there is no tracking information then tomorrow, go to your Purchase History click on the More actions button. You may not see an I haven't received it button there, so click on Return Item, then you will see the I haven't received it option as the reason for the dispute and follow through to file it. Once you do you will be able to find it on your My ebay page under the Returns header. Read the info about the Money Back Guarantee and it's time frames for filing and asking ebay to step in, in the link below

OP6 months agoHello friend, Believe or not he is not responding to return requests from me or EBay. I think today is his deadline. I hope he is okay and not in the hospital. Then again, people aren't reliable there is a good chance he just flaked out.

·6 months agoSellers are not required to respond to messages, and you do not need them to in order to deal with an issue like this.
One day after the last estimated date of arrival, go back to your purchase history and select “I did not receive this item”. Follow the steps, and then if the seller does not respond with tracking showing delivery, you can go back to the case in 3 days and ask eBay to step in.

·6 months agoYou made a purchase of an item from an eBay seller and paid for your purchase.
Are you aware that a seller is not required to cancel per your request?
In the listing, you saw an estimated date of delivery for the item you purchased.
Evidently, you found that date satisfactory for your needs, or you wouldn't have made the purchase.
That date, the 6th, has now arrived, and it seems you've not received your item.
You need to check its tracking to see if it's moving through the system. If it is, you need to give it at least another day or two.
If it does not appear to be moving, you can open an item not received case through eBay on the 7th.
Have you read the eBay Money Back Guarantee for buyers?
