Seller contacted me asking me to make offers on their items, so they can sell them | Buying

I received an email from a seller (who's name sounds familiar) saying they need to sell items, and asked me to go look at their listed items, make offers and maybe buy some their items. I've never had this happen before. I don't feel comfortable with this. What do I do? Are sellers supposed to contact you wanting you to go make bids? I don't think I have purchased from this seller for a long time (if at all). The name sounds familiar, but I don't remember them nor any dealings.
