Seller charging for high express delivery but items have not arrived. Please help.
Hi guys,
Recently, I've purchased a small car part from a US ebay seller. I've requested a priority express mail from California USA to Malaysia. The seller said he will use USPS Priority Mail and it costs $110 and it will take 5-7 business days in the message. However under the tracking, it shows delivery over 1 and a half months. I asked the seller why and they said they could not anticipate if they'll be any issues with clearing customs.
I purchased the item on the 14th May. It is now over a month, the tracking shows that the item is still in California, and the seller has not responded to my messages. Technically, the tracking shows I should receive the item by 11th July so I am unable to make any complaints.
I suspect what the seller has done is charging me a very high price, calling it a priority post, but in fact they used a normal post. How do I contact ebay to look into this for me and refund me the high priority postage fee I was promised but they used a cheaper and longer option?
Any advice? Your help is appreciated!
Thank you!

OP3 years agoI have been messaging the seller but it is the 3rd time, and I am being ignored. I have sent again asking for proof of receipt showing the price, date and tracking number.
Is there anything I can do to file a complaint or dispute with ebay, when I haven't received the item?
The item is due to be delivered before 11th July as shown. So there is still 2 weeks+ to go. But I am just appalled that I have been deceived by the seller, being charged a high price for express but it is not, and ended up waiting for 2 months after overpaying, which is unacceptable.
Please advise, thanks.

·3 years agoIf the last estimated delivery date is July 11th, you cannot do much until at least July 12th, regardless of what shipping method was used.

·3 years agoI don't have much experience with this type of problem, but I think that you will have to wait until you get the part and examine the type of shipping used. If it's not the express shipping you paid for, I think you can make a case for not as described, because you were charged for a service (express shipping) you didn't receive. Of course if you don't get the part within 24 hours after the last day projected for delivery, you can also open an 'item not received' claim. If the seller comes back with tracking showing you did get something, even if it was nothing, come back and you will get more advice on how to deal with the problem. Others may chime in who have more information.

·3 years agoThe OP is saying he requested Express but the seller said he will use USPS Priority Mail and it costs $110.
The buyer can ask for Express but can't dictate how they want it shipped.
I think being the seller said Priority Mail and not Priority Mail Express then it's not coming Express.
