Seller Cancelled Sale (low-bid auction win). Am I allowed to leave feedback?
eBay item: 315413935126
I won with a low bid. When I go to check out/pay, I see seller has cancelled transaction. Some reason like problem with my payment or address.
I’ve tried for weeks to leave negative feedback, and I was recently able to leave it. Today, the seller responded, requesting revision saying I requested delivery to new address. [Now, it appears that the negative feedback for this seller/transaction has disappeared.]
This is not true. My payment and address have been the same for over 5 years. I was not able to make payment due to cancellation by seller and I never requested a change of delivery address.
Attached below is my messages with seller.
Question:
Are buyers allowed to leave negative feedback in cases like these?

Feedback that has nasty words or wordage in a negative feedback will be removed by eBay or the seller can request the feedback removed.

·2 years agoReport the seller here. Select that the seller violated an eBay policy. Then select that they refused to complete a sale. That will get them the defect they avoided by lying about the reason for the cancellation.

OP2 years agoWhen I try to report the seller through the link, I get this error message. Apparently, I can’t do this because the seller canceled the sale (immediately after auction end).

OP2 years agoThanks. I went to Seller Violated Policy, instead of Item Not Received and filled out the report.
You can report the seller.
Otherwise there isn't much you can do, eBay can't force a seller to sell.
In regard to feedback, didn't you already leave that seller negative feedback?
If you left feedback and it is gone that seller may have asked eBay to remove it.

OP2 years agoI did leave feedback which was viewable yesterday. Today, I received seller’s request for revision, which I declined. Now, the feedback doesn’t appear on seller’s feedback.
Looks like eBay is siding with seller and not allowing such feedback to be left.
I understand eBay can’t force the seller (dang it), but auction winners should be able to leave feedback.

·2 years agoThe seller cancelled already so you can't claim an item not received.
I still see your feedback that you left.
You can report the seller for violating ebay policy for using the wrong reason to cancel.

@samba92103 Was trying to report the seller for falsely cancelling for problem with buyers address. But it appears you can only report a seller when theres a completed transaction... that's just not right.

OP2 years agoYou can see my feedback? That’s great. I can’t. Perhaps I’m blocked? I thought it was removed per seller’s request. Here’s what I see when I click on seller’s feedback.
That's odd I thought for sure you would be able to report a seller who used cancellations falsely.
